I’m not knocking him, just comparing the quite contrasting styles of McCallum’s smoothness vs Giles’ directness. Not saying one is better than the other, just two very different playing styles.

McCallum had more class / culture on the ball but whilst you could argue that Giles is quite one dimensional, that dimension is effective so it works.

If we play the same formation as last year it's likely that the central striker role will be battled out between Godden and Walker. It looks like Baka is the favoured striker for the third choice. Would love to know how many starts he had in a row in league 1. Can’t remember him ever really starting a string of games together.

Right now as we speak, Max is a better player technically than Baka. He wins more in the air, he holds the play up better, has a better touch and vision. Swap the ages and Max stays. I can see why we would favour Baka though from a business / development point of view.

Still would have Biamou as my 3rd choice personally but can’t knock Bakas scoring record for minutes he’s on the pitch. Really hope we keep all four. At the very least send Biamou on loan but with option of Immediate recall if injury’s.
