    On a positive note…

Yeah, but surely we would never expect to still be top, 6 weeks on, considering the form we have been in. It's amazing that we still are.

The biggest one was THEIR player not getting a second yellow Scandalous really.

Onyeka would make a a big difference, I'm sure It's not just a flick of switch either. Look how we fought and battled at Southampton. We were fabulous that day. Real passion and determination.

    Ref watch

Surprised there aren't more posts on that lack of action against their defender, who was already on a yellow and pulled Wright to the ground, yesterday. 100% a yellow card any day of the week. I was stunned when he didn't produce the card. Oggy and Gurney were shocked too Unbelievable decision...

Don't have to. Just need to grind out the win. Fight, battle, harry and press them. Just really need to be up for it.

There were rumours we were looking at a striker in the window wasn't there. Not sure how serious they were.

    Our Two Strikers

Yeah, he was looking much better wasn't he and he started off yesterday with that fabulous run and he should have bloody well scored too. Can't believe he didn't even hit the target there.

I don't think Middlesbrough are going to just put 10 men behind the ball though. Oxford made it difficult for us to break them down. Boro should be more open.

I think Eccles is probably the one player playing at a pretty consistent level in midfield. Torp, Rudoni and Grimes have all looked poorer for a while now.

Very true and so many set piece kicks haven't even got past the first man. Torp is a bit of a shadow of himself, as is Jack Rudoni. These were both players who were making things happen and scoring too, earlier on

Maybe ...as I have said a number of times, his wife is due to give birth at any time. Quite feasible that he's been at the hospital, or been up through the night with false alarms etc. It does happen and I can speak from personal experience. It can be all over the place just before the baby...

Has to be a must not lose, but we need to start picking up wins again from somewhere don't we. No games for Hull or Ipswich next week, so it's a good opportunity to pull clear a bit further if we were to pick up 4 points from the next 3 games

We now have more than enough players to cover the bench, so why put him on the bench? Where had FL said this? I haven't seen anything

Why won't Onyeka play til mid Feb? He was on the bench yesterday.

A win against Middlesbrough could cause a momentum shift for sure And before anyone says "but we're in terrible form, there's no way we will beat them", just look at where Oxford are in the table and how few points they have. Yet, this season, they have beaten all three of the teams relegated...

I do find that odd, I must say. Onyeka needs to slot straight in, no messing. We haven't got time for him to adapt. He needs to hit the ground running

And this is before Frank Onyeka has even kicked a ball? Can we not even give him a chance to see if he solidifies the team, so we give less soft goals away. If we can break down the ball in midfield, we can break down more counter attacks from the opposition. Got to help, surely? We have...

    On a positive note…

Yup We ARE still top of the league. And this is 6 weeks on from your "On a positive note" thread. 6 weeks later and still top. Anyway, keeping things positive, if we do end up in the play-offs, Markelo will be fit enough to score the winning goal in the play-off final at Wembley. 😍
