Sheaf doesn’t fit this team, he’s not as good as Grimes in the 6 and he’s not suited to be one of the attacking 8s. 6.5m with a year left is good business, we need a midfielder in tomorrow mind.

Grimes will play 90% of minutes for us in all comps this year, he is the key to how we play and rarely ever comes off or misses a game through injury.

We don’t need a Sheaf replacement, Eccles is a similar profile. We could do with another 8/10 to compete with Rudoni and Torp.

Sheaf and Grimes midfield doesn’t really work. Grimes has barely missed a minute of football for Swansea for the best part of 10 years, the timing isn’t ideal but I this might be our last chance to cash in on Sheaf.
