Coventry Observer Council leader backs protests and says his refusal to talk is better for Coventry City in...

A council leader should not be saying 'if you wish to continue to protest, please do!" Worded very badly from an official for our city and he shouldn't be backing the protests. Should distance himself from such matters and a simple 'I can understand the protests' would have sufficed.

Rose on the right doesn't work and neither does Lameiras.

He does to be fair, but who else do we play? The only other option on the right (discounting Jones and Reid) is to consider Foley at right back and DKE as right midfield for league games. We are so short in key areas still. :(

Had to be. His season is over. Even more important now that we sign Yakubu, or another unattached striker as a matter of urgency.

He is basing it on the certain fact of our winning our game in hand on them.

We have indeed done well in the Checkatrade, but that is irrelevant when you are talking about a semi-final and a trip to Wembley and the chance of winning silverware. You are surely not saying a win in an earlier round in front of 2,000 fans is going to have the same boost to a club as a trip...

I knew he was older than he said he was when in a interview they asked him what his favourite movie was and he said the brand new Hope and Crosby film.

Yeah, was just thinking that this morning. I take it will still have Theo Wharton and Navid Nasseri with us. Wonder when Slade will make a decision in them. Had them about two weeks now haven't we?

Unfortunately Yakubu doesn't have Tudgay's pace. Unfortunately, further still, Tudgay has no pace at all of his own.

I honestly thought it was all over at 28-3. At half time I thought the Pats might be in with a sniff, but had to score first in the 3rd quarter. When the Falcons extended their lead with a further touchdown to make it 28-3 I believed that was the final nail in the coffin. What a comeback...

Would certainly give the Wycombe defence something to worry about. ;) I can't see Slade gambling on signing Yakubu today in time for tomorrow just one a fingers and toes crossed scenario. Think he will take a good look at him and as there is an U21 game tonight, will probably watch him in...

Yep, agree. They were in field goal range. Kicked that and they would have been two scores clear. I think one thing of note was all the pressure the Falcons blitzing was putting on the NE offensive line. They kept getting to Brady and forced him to hurry. Trouble was of course, they didn't...

Yeah. Well if he has been training all season I would guess at him being around 80% fit. A gamble for sure, but unless there is anyone else out there it might well be a gamble we have to take.
  17. Otis

    Yakubu

Exactly. All well and good saying throw him in, but he has been without a club for a whole season. Playing him could be disastrous and he would probably have a strain or injury within about 10 mins of taking to the field. Didn't Slade just use that very argument of lack of match fitness for...
