    Meltdown

We are what we've always been, consistently inconsistent. Losing Doyle was a big blow, but I still think there's enough in this team to win a few more games yet. As for Robins, he's neither world class nor a complete numpty and I don't see that continually cycling through managers has done...

    Been a long time.

... since I rock n' rolled... Sorry, couldn't resist. Zep fans of a certain age will get it. But yes, brilliant if we can draw the kids in. Some chants are more appropriate than others mind.. "My old man, said be a Villa fan, I said..." :)

What important, or great goals have you missed over the years?

I missed that one too. For some reason I just couldn't be arsed to go (despite having a season ticket). I think it was because I used to get cheesed off with all the plastic mancs (many, I suspect, from Coventry) that always seemed to be sat in our end cheering their goals. Probably a bad...

Defence lawyers/barristers defending clients they know to be guilty

So the papers say mate. They may well be right too, but that can't matter to the defence lawyer - his job is to provide the best defence he can no matter how much he may dislike his client. We don't want to get to a place where public opinion decides guilt, else before you know it...

Defence lawyers/barristers defending clients they know to be guilty

I can see what you're saying mate, but that's how the legal system is designed. The prosecution has to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt - it's not for the defender to make that judgement and it is his (or her) ethical duty to provide the best defence available to his client regardless of...

Defence lawyers/barristers defending clients they know to be guilty

It's a pretty old chesnut this one, Otis. Here's a barrister explaining... Fundametally, the lawyer isn't there to judge their client, but to put the prosecution's case to the test whilst behaving ethically. The judge and jury get to judge!

    Big Cyrille

Really, really sad to hear this. Used to love watching him play, awesome in full flight and could pull the ball down from anywhere even with 6'4" centre halves climbing all over him. He played a massive part in one of the defining years of my life, 1986/1987, That was the first season I really...

Aliens have surveyed Earth - now proven beyond reasonable doubt

Just on this thread, and for those of you that like reading, can I recommend Carl Sagan's Contact if you like pondering on this sort of stuff. The film is pretty good, but the book has a lot more detail whilst still being surprisingly readable. One concept is the Zoo theory, which references...

    Robert Jarni

Won't have a word said against Jarni, he never put a foot wrong for us (see my avatar pic for what a cool guy he was too). Possibly the only one who did better was Mick Harford - best goals/games ratio of any City striker. :)

New Coventry City Supporters Forum / The New SCG

Don't forget the 'I' mate... just don't ask me to explain what it is. It's undoubtedly a very good thing that we've moved on from worrying about what people do to each other with their own bits, but I honestly can't keep track of the acronyms. :)

Sorry to raise this again / Dale Evans

If this were a delusion or psychosis, then why the need to create fake evidence. As I understand it someone in the grip of a full-blown psychosis isn't likely to be rational enough to see the need to fabricate evidence. Similarly with bipolar or manic disorders - most people seem to manage...

Who here is lapping up SISU's bullshit? Specifically, who? I don't see anyone here baying for blood, though there's certainly a fair bit of ripping the piss. Believing you're a millionaire when you're not, that's a sure sign of mental illness. Faking documents to try to convince other people...

Cheers. I'm thinking £40m, minimum, more if I scoop the pot at the Lime Tree WMC tonight. Carl Baker as player-manager, Eric Black as director of football, and I'm bringing Robbie Keane home. Tell all your mates, evidence of funds to follow as soon as I get Photoshop... err... email working. :)
