    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Good to see you’ve decided to get the Daily Mail Bingo out again... you must be getting close to a full house by now. They have done well rolling out the vaccine so far - amazing what happens when you allow an organisation that was created by the arms of socialism to do it, rather than a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You are right about slogans - in 2017 ‘For the many, not the few’ really resonated - but by 2019 ‘Get Brexit Done’ came and squarely kicked it in the bollocks. I think Starmer does have potential, but is being badly advised somewhere along the line.

Chelsea’s was pretty dire one year too I seem to remember.

    Liverpool

When you hit the top you are there to be shot at... and they haven’t been able to cope. They’ve been the chasers for the last 3 years and the pressure hasn’t really been on them. They’ll come again no doubt, but their midfield is bang average in comparison to their attack and defence when all...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I’m wondering if this is the usual idea of the government where they ‘leak’ a story, see what the reaction is before rowing back a bit on it.

Despite the noise - there is no school or local authority that will sanction you at all if you chose to do this. Especially local authorities which have made it clear they will not pursue anything in regards to Cov-ID.

House Renovations - Hints / Tips / Recommendations

Would this cover having to go on someone’s drive to access a back gate for example?

Literally none - just asked us for a copy of the agreement.

House Renovations - Hints / Tips / Recommendations

Thanks - unsurprisingly I’ve asked the actual solicitor to let us know and they promised to call back today.. and not. So now it’s not until Monday at the least before we get some detail.

House Renovations - Hints / Tips / Recommendations

It was a new build in 2005, and we bought in 2009 from first owner. For context - estate agents had never heard of it, neither had solicitors assistant.

None at all - my wife had her own business as a recruitment consultant but that’s it.

House Renovations - Hints / Tips / Recommendations

Sorry to sabotage this thread slightly, but I’m thinking the expertise is on here. We have just had a local search on our house we are selling come back and apparently a ‘section 30 agreement’ was revealed. We have no idea what this is (apparently it’s from October last year) and we’ve never...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

May elections will be interesting, especially in those areas that will feel they been hardest hit by Cov-ID, or most disadvantaged by the response to support them.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

By the time the next election comes round Johnson will be long gone. They will pin Cov-ID failings on him so not to taint the party image. If Brexit were to be a disaster long term it will be blamed on (in no particular order) - The EU, Starmer, Remainers, Corbyn, SNP, Marxists, Antifa, the...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I’ll be amazed going forward if they don’t shut us out of the world if we don’t get our shit together. We’ve one chance to finally do this right with the vaccinations rolling out - please don’t fuck it up racing out of lockdown to appease some knobhead Tory MP’s that are parroting the wishes of...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

To be honest I am long over it - the last 4 years has shown that the UK government is equally as corrupt as the EU one. It doesn’t matter where and how the land lies - the richest people will continue becoming even more so, and the poorest and most vulnerable will continue to get shafted by who...
