Our strongest midfield, at the minute is: Baker Bailey Fleck Thomas* Moussa He might not be 100% if so Jennings to come in. Bar that, this midfield is most capable on the ball and good enough off it, Thomas is a typical box-to-box midfielder and plays like his hero, Scholes (obviously not...

I don't think we need to compete on a physical footing, we have to make sure we keep the god damn ball on the ground and not in the air! That's where we went wrong last game. Having Fleck and Thomas will help us to do that (with Baker, Bailey and Moussa to assist). You talking of physicality...

    Preston at home.

Would you start Sheff? Yes or no? You make yourself have lots of possession or not, this is a game we could dominate possession, only PNE will put us under more pressure, I'd rather have Fleck on the ball than say Jennings. Fleck can unlock a defence (3 quality passes down the line that fell...

    Preston at home.

How is Fleck a liability? The same people who think Fleck shouldn't start for being a 'liability' off the ball, think McSheffrey should start! So tell me, how is Fleck more of a liability than McSheff, the guy who exposes his LB every time he plays. Oh, I forgot this, we let too many...

I don't think that was the case, Spurs were going for more, they don't do as well when they took off Parker, and for the 10m before he got took off, we played better with Barton, CT and Fleck.

Team selection dilemmas for Preston JPT

Jennings and Bailey got bullied by Spurs midfield, more than they did v PNE. I don't think we should play 4-4-2, but if you stick Bailey in for Jennings, we have a midfield capable of countering their bully boy midfield. Why we shouldn't play 4-4-2 (I'll try keep it brief): This season...

    Jordan Clarke

Clarke's distribution? What, him putting in 2 beauty crosses? Keeping possession better than most our players. Edj struggled with the physicality of Adebayor, it was that Adebayor just played shit, Edj was all over the place for one of their goals. Wood was a brave heart at the back, threw...

MR said he knew how a Westley side would play... I think CT4 and Fleck will counter how they play, they can keep possession better under pressure than our other players, I think Spurs proved this. There's no point trying to go out there and 'outmuscle' PNE, we should go out there with a...

What difference would the same midfield that got "battered" last time, make this time? Ok, Baker didn't start, but it was the same old story when he came on. I hope MR mixes it up, brings in Fleck and hopefully Thomas, if he's fit enough.

Quite possibly, I know it's the CET and a 'Daily something paper' I was pretty sure it was the Daily Mail but if it's the Mirror, I stand to be corrected.

I for one do not know. But neither do you. If ACL makes profit, their shareholders will get paid dividends and they can do with it as they will. They are representatives from the CCC and AHC.

Pirlo ripped up Germany as well, including, wait for it, Khedira. He also ripped Spain in the group game, including, wait for it, Xabi Alonso AND Busquets :) Pirlo ripped everyone that tournament. But he isn't a holding midfielder.

I'm aware of that, but because it is set up by the council, doesn't mean the taxpayers' will see any of the money, therefore, CCFC are not ripping off a charity nor the taxpayers of the city.

Btw, Hoffman is a director (or something like that) at both the CET and Daily Mail, so the CET is going to spout some BS to turn fans (like yourself) against SISU. Just saying.

He was class last year. Depends what you look for, might not be Xabi Alonso on the ball, but he is excellent off the ball and can put in a hard tackle. I can only think of Xabi Alonso; Khedira, Busquets (unsure on him) who were better last season than our own Parker (in the CDM role).

They didn't though, it was McGinnity's lot. I'm pro CCFC you mean, when SISU do go, I won't stop supporting CCFC. I've acknowledged SISU have profit as #1 but so does anyone looking to buy a football club? unless you're are a mega rich Arab or Russian in the Oil industry or a Royal Family...

If I was ever to go to a Trust meeting, I probably wouldn't voice my opinions in fear of being 'attacked' (verbally) as me, you and Torch find ourselves on the defence any time we voice our opinions on SBT (forum). I do get the impression that to some people on here, SISU cannot do anything...

We'll have to wait and see... As for Spurs, it was logical we pick 2 defensive options.
