The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I feel that I have justified my stance with the EU many times on this thread.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The EU is becoming increasingly undemocratic, it's turning itself into a super state, that's why I voted out, I want no part of the EU after the way it made a mockery of democracy by making Irish and Dutch (I think) have re votes until they got the right answer. If it goes badly tits up, I will...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It's a general feeling that the remainers want us to fail (not really aimed at anyone on here), lets not get into which side was telling lies shall we? I'm still waiting for the Russian invasion, tax hikes, punishment budget or immediate recession predicted by the remain camp. People voted for...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Why do the remainer's want us to fail so badly? I get that you may have wanted a different outcome, but as a country we voted to leave, and we'll all share the consequences, if they are good or bad. So lets just get on with it, with the best outcome for us as a nation.

    Anybody good with electrics?

That's fine, the process still works. Have a quick look on youtube on how to do a continuity test, honestly, it's as simple as it gets and it's a 2 minute job and will save you a fair whack.

    Anybody good with electrics?

The ceiling rose is what the light fitting sits on. The thing that the cables are wired into.

    Anybody good with electrics?

No. It's at the ceiling rose. You only need to identify the switch live.

    Anybody good with electrics?

It's straight forward, basic stuff. Continuity testing does what it says, you hold one probe on the live. Then with the other probe, you hold it against the other wires in that cable. Everything else should read as an open circuit apart from one. By untwisting the cables or turning the switch...

    Anybody good with electrics?

Turn off power, go to the switch, take out the wires from the back, twist together, then do a continuity test at the rose. The switched live will give a very low reading, and the rest will show as an open circuit. Don't remove or test earth, it's unnecessary. Just twist the in and out off the...

    Anybody good with electrics?

Which sounds right, if you have 3 sets, live in, live out, switched live. Should have 9 cables at the rose.

    Anybody good with electrics?

The others that go with it? So more then one light fitting?

    Anybody good with electrics?

It should be fairly straight forward to sort out yourself. As mentioned, live in, live out and switch live. Identify the switch live with a multi meter and you're sorted. I'm a plumber not a sparks though. :pompus:

    Jones Injury

Hopefully we have money available, if not I've see we've got no choice but to cash in on someone, we need 2 pacey wingers now.

Lose the Gut Thread (Following on from New Year's Resolution)

Hows everyone getting on with their plans?? currently sitting slightly heavier at just over 12 and a half stone but it's mainly muscle going on, eating loads more now but my body seems to be using it efficiently.

    Potential January Additions

I think we need another pacey winger and a goal scorer. We're solid all over the pitch but key area for improvement are a right footed left winger, if we could have both wings cutting in, dragging full backs all over the place, firing off shots etc, I think that makes us far more dangerous, and...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

So what I mentioned yesterday about some cultures being better then others, and I was shot down as racist for it. This just proves my point. I've just looked at a map, their are 9 EU member states between Turkey and Germany, not including Poland, a further 4 non EU member states, all of which...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

They were already safe in Turkey, anything past that point is their own fault and they stopped being refugees and then became economic migrants.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I haven't said they're all economic migrants, we can't tell the difference and Merkels open door policy lead to the rampage across Europe. It was handled so badly by her and EU officials. I agree that we shouldn't have become involved in those conflicts, but I think we should have funded refugee...
