Just had a quick look and he moved over here in 1995 to go to Loughborough Uni, so the date makes sense but still doesn't explain why us. As far as "local" options go, Leicester got relegated and Forest finished 3rd in the 94/95 season while we finished 16th. So maybe it was the car heritage.
