    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Well I'd never put anything past the Israeli state, currently it clearly thinks it's beyond international law. However, it would be a massive provocation, and maybe the simplest explanation is the right one here. Poor weather, difficult flying conditions, and aircraft that can't be maintained...

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

It's been verified by a number of news organisations, as well you know. The only thing worse than a troll, is a mince thick one like you. One day someone who knows you might find all the bullshit you spout here. How embarrassed will you be then? Just give it a fucking rest, eh, it might be...

I'm sorry mate, but I can't let the anti-Semitism thing go unchallenged. It's the left who have always stood against all forms of racism. If you're conflating criticism of the state of Israel with anti-semitism, then you're not thinking straight. As for whether Starmer moving the party to the...

BRB? Not sure where your going with Sultana, but obviously she had to go through the trigger process. Come on now, you're not seriously telling me that there's a concerted effort to either expel/deselect or refuse to select left wing candidates and members. Sit next to Ken Roach, like the...

If you seriously believe that either Corbyn or Abbot are racist, I've got a bridge that you might like to buy. The simple truth, that you're struggling to admit, a bit like Keir, is that if you're on the left of the party you are no longer welcome, and Starmer will find any excuse to kick you...

That's not quite true, is it? Abbot did not lose the whip for rebelling, she lost it for a single letter to the Guardian for which she quickly apologised. Labour, under Starmer, is quite obviously not a broad church - I would that it was. The 'broad church' claim is a complete fiction to...

Whether it was fought for or not is irrelevant. Again, what business do you or anyone else have to *demand* that everyone votes? It's sufficient that we have the right to vote, that's what was fought for, not the compulsion to do so. We have lots of other rights that were hard won too. Take...

I think the problem with soup is you'd have to clear it all off again to glue yourself to the glass. 😁

    safe standing 2024

Clearly, you are not a true fan. 😄 Edit: That's a bit of a cheap shot actually. In fairness, is there a reason why the club couldn't put safe standing in singer's corner? If it's because of the structures, I guess it's fair enough, if not, why not?

I think it's entirely possible that they didn't actually want to damage the Magna Carta, but just draw attention to their cause. I guess they've done that. I'm not sure that attacking cultural or artistic touchstones brings any great deal of support for any cause, mind.

And politely, I disagree. It's not for the state to demand my participation in an election. My choosing not to vote, should I choose that path, hurts no one. Why should anyone be compelled to vote by law?

I trust she'll now have the whip suspended (oo-err missus) for a year whilst an "independent" enquiry determines whether the apology meets party standards.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

In fairness, the unions don't seem entirely convinced that Starmer isn't already backtracking on the workers' rights thing. Maybe he'd rather people weren't talking about it. Whenever I hear a Starmer "pledge", I find myself thinking of the Pirates' Code...

It might, or might not, marginally get a few more votes for Starmer's version of the Labour party. Whether that's literally good for politics overall, now that's a whole different question...

Which bit is a conspiracy theory? Starmer shifting the party substantially to the right? Starmer abandoning the pledges he made when elected leader, and many since? Elphicke, as far as I can see, hasn't apologised for anything she's said in the past about the Labour party or its policies, or...

Just a minor amendment to your maths... Given the current rate of sexual scandals etc. the Tories seem to be prone to, there might be another dozen or so that get the boot before this government is done. 😁

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the individual MP, she was elected by her constituency as a Conservative, taking the Tory whip, and supporting a Tory manifesto. If she wants to stand under a different banner, then it should be put back to the electorate via a by-election. I'd say the...
