it's a pretty common business practice, if you want to get planning permission etc for large scale projects you find something local to support as a sweetner. I imagine that's exactly what's happening here, they want access to land, ease of passing through planning permission, possible...

seems a bit stupid to have a statue of Jimmy at the Ricoh if the team aren't there anymore. if noone wants it moved to the potential new ground why not move it to the city centre or the highfield road site? At least that way people might see it occasionally.

not sure it would, FL only has power over what happens in the FL. they could say they will treat holdings and ltd as one entity in terms of players contracts, golden share, points deductions etc but in a business sense legally they are 2 distinct companies. Would be surprised if after all this...

not sure the FL has the power to force a company into administration. they could say, as they did with Southampton, that they will be treated as 1 entity, not sure if that would help us tho as that would give Holdings a claim over the golden share.
