    Championship thread 25/26!

Never thought I would ever support Sheff Utd. Not even for a fleeting moment, but am now off to buy a Sean Bean poster and listen to some Artic Monkeys albums.

Yes. Thing is on that wrestle of Wright to the ground, was that it was right in front of the ref. Unbelievable really.

    Transfer Rumour Romain Esse

Was worried by him yesterday Some excellent stuff, but then unnecessary flicks and dangerous dribbles out of defence and was tackled and dispossessed a number of times, looking for a foul, when clearly no foul had been committed I prefer EMC. Think Esse would be better coming off the bench...

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

It's so funny to see things get stretched. It was that we haven't been good for weeks, then it was a month, then 2 months and now it's "months". 😂 Keep going and we will be back in League 2 soon

Agree on the away form. The home form has been very good. Just saying it's not all downward

We did. But it wasn't disastrous that we didn't. Hull lost at home. If Sheff Utd beat Boro on Monday, which is definitely possible, we will have gained a point on both of them. Really frustrating though that we didn't bag all 3 yesterday

If we've won 4 out of the last 6 home games and only lost 1, by very definition that is not downward. 😂

    Autos or Play Offs

Do people really think we might not even make the playoffs? Last season Bristol City finished in 6th on 68 points If it were to be that this season, for example, that would mean we would only need 9 more points out of a possible 45 to get there 9 points out of 45!!! Which of course would be...

Disagree. We were excellent against Southampton. We beat Bristol City at home (both December), Swansea at home, Millwall at home and Leicester at home. It has been a bit of a spiral, but let's not make out it's all been downward. Last 6 home games... 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. That's very...

And? What difference does that make? Just shows we can put a backs to the wall performance in when we need to.

    Autos or Play Offs

Hope so. Plucky underdog out of the doldrums club v Hollywood Boulevard FC

    On a positive note…

Yeah, but surely we would never expect to still be top, 6 weeks on, considering the form we have been in. It's amazing that we still are.

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

The biggest one was THEIR player not getting a second yellow Scandalous really.

Onyeka would make a a big difference, I'm sure It's not just a flick of switch either. Look how we fought and battled at Southampton. We were fabulous that day. Real passion and determination.

    Ref watch

Surprised there aren't more posts on that lack of action against their defender, who was already on a yellow and pulled Wright to the ground, yesterday. 100% a yellow card any day of the week. I was stunned when he didn't produce the card. Oggy and Gurney were shocked too Unbelievable decision...

Don't have to. Just need to grind out the win. Fight, battle, harry and press them. Just really need to be up for it.

There were rumours we were looking at a striker in the window wasn't there. Not sure how serious they were.

    Our Two Strikers

Yeah, he was looking much better wasn't he and he started off yesterday with that fabulous run and he should have bloody well scored too. Can't believe he didn't even hit the target there.

I don't think Middlesbrough are going to just put 10 men behind the ball though. Oxford made it difficult for us to break them down. Boro should be more open.
