Im starting to change my mind

Would you care to explain why the club needs to own the freehold of a stadium?

    Not a penny more

What a strange man you are. Higgs trust have done far more for this city than sisu ever have or ever will, improved the lives of countless children yet you despise them for some reason? The council is effectively the collective treasurer for the people of Coventry, its our money. Are you...

Les Reid Exclusive INterview with Seppalla....

I suspect there will be nothing new revealed in this meeting. Will be a charm offensive I think (nothing wrong with that but after 6 years you have to question the timing. Perhaps the prospect of 2k gates are concerning her?).

    The PR game

Well what could they have done about it?

    Support!

Or maybe, and much more likely, they don't have a clue what they are doing and there is no master plan? Since they've taken over I've seen nothing to suggest they are capable of running a major sports club. In fact I've seen nothing to suggest they're capable of organising a prayer in a...

    The PR game

But they have never answered as to why they just didn't stay at the Ricoh until this mythical new ground is built? The fundementals are the club is over £2m a year worse off than had it stayed at the Ricoh.

    The PR game

If they can't afford it how can they afford to pay Northampton rent on 2k gates?

    JS at Ryton yesterday

We dont need to own a ground, we need to own income streams.

New ground six miles from Coventry? That sounds convenient to get to.

    Vale Park

The whole of Milton Keynes feels manufactured and wrong. I include the stadium in that.

Being able to see the pitch from the concourse creates problems with serving alcohol though.

    Vale Park

No doubt some fans thought the same in 1903 about the out of town souless Highfield Road longing for a return to the charismatic Dowells Field.

Its about taking pride in what is Coventry.

    Vale Park

Other fans would most probably comment on atmosphere, which is down to us and the team. Nothing at all to do with the design of the stadium. As a structure I think most would laugh at the idea that anything in this division is more impressive than the Ricoh.

    Vale Park

Not really, the Ricoh is much more impressive.

    Les reid's ct article

Do you consider the quoted sixfields rent of £170k excessive? Even if the rent had stayed at £1.3m the move to sixfields is currently costing the club around £2.2m a year in revenue. Am I right in what your basically saying is you would rather lose that revenue than pay ACL £1.3m?
  17. bigfatronssba

    Vale Park

I wouldn't swap the Ricoh for any league one ground.

What exactly then would we be protesting about?

I said before I think there's quite a few Neville Chamberlin voters on here!

    Fans are slowly winning..

So because we let Richardson/Robinson do a massive amount of damage means we should let Sisu finish the job in completely destroying professional football in Coventry? If we take the same attitude now that we did with the previous regime then there really will be no club left.
