    Ricoh Arena - parliamentary debate

I wonder what route they'll take on this. It's always seemed a bit suspect to me that some of those on the board of CCFC deciding what was an acceptable rent were also on the board of ACL. That has to be a conflict of interest so that could be one avenue they're looking at or if they're just...

I get that but Ainsworth was saying if they get to see ACLs they should open up their own but wasn't clear if he means CCFC or SISU. To be honest either seems fairly pointless!

from the radio it sounds like we've run out of steam a bit in the second half. time to make a change.

Does he mean the clubs books or SISU? If it's the club I can't see why they'd object, they're just going to show they're losing loads. If he means SISU that's pretty pointless as it's not really them that owns us it's an investment fund and I'm not sure what having access to that would prove (is...

that'll be the point I missed. think the Trust need to push them on this. they've publicly suggested mediation so call them out on why they won't agree to binding arbitration. you would have to assume they don't want it because they don't think it will go their way. ACL could really put some...

was a bit underwhelming wasn't it! was hoping Bob was going to use parliamentary privilege to drop some bombshell but no such luck.

Could ACL / The Council be buying CCFC out?

that would make sense but I've yet to see anyone show how the club can be run to break even. remember what happened last season when slashed the budget to try and break even. could ACL continue to fund losses?

    Ricoh Arena - parliamentary debate

I think I've missed a major point here but when I was watching Bob Ainsworth said that binding arbitration was the way forward. He them seem to suggest (sounded like he only read the follow up to a previous email) Mark Labovitch, on the board at CCFC, was agreeable to this and the process should...

I'm thinking we'll win the next two home games and then just as we think we're back in with a chance we'll lose at Portsmouth.

    Investors

I'm sure there's plenty of other clubs that could be taken over where they wouldn't have to pay to access those revenues and would own their own ground. CCFC doesn't look a very attractive proposition if you don't have an emotional tie to the club, there would seem to be a lot of better options...

If Joy Seppala liquidates us out of spite......

or if you look at it from a non fan perspective she's got an investment with zero chance of making a return on investment and very little chance of even breaking even. Therefore the longer SISU stick around the more money they lose, or rather their investors money. I think the biggest question...

any chance this will show up on BBC Parliament? Do they usually show this sort of thing? Would imagine a public record of the meeting would be available afterwards if not.

What companies in C&W would be affected without ccfc?

Down here Portsmouth Council reckon the football club is worth £300m a year to the local economy. It was looked into as part of the loan offer to their trust. £300m does seem a touch on the high side to say the least but I think the loss of CCFC would have a much bigger impact than many people...

    Pompey away train travel

Assuming its roughly the same as going Portsmouth to Cov you won't get it cheaper than that. The other way to do it is megabus / megatrain, Birmingham to London then London to Portsmouth but it only runs at certain times so I doubt it would work out that you could get there and back on the same...

    Finally....

For me unless they've got someone exceptional like Adkins lined up, and there's not much chance of that, we'd be better off sticking with Carso till the end of the season. The rent row surely has to be resolved one way or another before the start of next season so get that done first and then...
