Joe Elliott to be the front man

So should we just welcome anyone with open arms and just hope things work out for the best? A new owner doesn't mean a better owner. I'm sure people will say it couldn't be any worse but how many times have we said that as city fans only to find out it can get much worse.

Preston Haskell IV to buy Alan Higgs charity.

That should be an decision for any potential owner to make, not something that is forced on them. If the owner of CCFC wants to diversify and create more income streams then all well and good but it's not right to force it on them as a condition of any sale.

    Potentially 4 interested parties

If we're going to play at another ground SISU aren't going to agree to a rental agreement like the one we have (had?) at the Ricoh. More than likely it will be on a per game basis and payable in advance.

    Potentially 4 interested parties

Is it not a bit odd that all these interested buyers have decided to speak with ACL, who don't own the club and can't sell it to them, rather than the actual owners?

    Portsmouth Match thread

Not going to go through the whole thread as I've already had to suffer being at the game! Started off OK but then seemed to fall apart when they scored and couldn't get any control back. When Thomas and Wilson came on we seemed like a different team. IMO we should stop playing all the loan...

    Paul Fletcher

There's many many people who have been involved with CCFC over recent years that I have a massive distrust of (Richardson, Robinson, McGinnity, Fletcher, Ranson, Deliu, Fisher, I'm sure there's more) but it does strike me that all of these people aren't linked to each other, although some are...

    ACL on CWR right now

The club needs to own it's own ground and as such I want CCFC to own the ground not SISU / ACL / Higgs / Council. The club is owned by SISU now but hopefully it won't be forever. You can write contracts with clauses saying for example 100% ownership of the stadium has to stay with the company...

How much did ACL & the Council actually put in

Thats my understanding as well so the council are already £10m up and I have vague memories of a figure of £40m being thrown around to purchase their share. Higgs paid around £6m for half of ACL and it was generally accepted that the buy back formula worked out to around £10m. Why could both...

    support...

Think that would be it for me. I'd have a passing interest in AFC Coventry or whatever was formed but not living in the city that would probably wane fairly quickly.

    just on sky sports

The chap from free radio tweeted a couple of days ago that he believed talks had been held with Leicester and Brum. Make of that what you will.

The last offer put on the table to CCFC

that's irrelevant tho, if the rent owed was £1.2m and ACL have taken 500K from any source against that then surely only £0.7m is owing. If they take the 500K and then get another £1.2m they've had £1.7m overall. To use the favoured house analogy if my mortgage is £500 a month and one month I...

The last offer put on the table to CCFC

Given the money they've taken out of escrow and the match day costs shouldn't it be around £485K anyway or are they saying we owe £1.3 on top of that, in which case it must be nearly 2 years since we stopped paying rent.

    what happens...

effectively it would be the end as we'd be unable to fulfil out fixtures and would lose our place in the league. I suppose there is a slight possibility the FL would allow up to play those 3 games away but I doubt it as that would be seen as an unfair advantage to the teams that play us twice at...

If we really have left the ricoh,

If the company that owns the lease is in admin then doesn't that impact of directors liability? Presumably they've been advised to leave on legal grounds.

    Mcsheffrey's up for it!

Hope it's not an urgent message if we've got to wait for him to score :p To be fair he's been saying on twitter they'll give it 110% for the fans and Baker made a similar comment on Facebook

    Bricks and seats (PSL's)

I would guess that the statue and the memorial garden will both be moved at some point if we never go back to the Ricoh.

    Doncaster Family Fun Day

Marketing and sales wouldn't have been told of something like this, last thing SISU would want is for some mug in the club shop to tell everyone what is happening and mess their plans up!

    Setting a Legal Precedent.

Many companies do this sort of thing, it's not like SISU are the first. But remember most people that can't afford the rent on say office space can simply move to somewhere cheaper, not really an option for CCFC. Also lots of companies change terms of their rent, Fitness First for example...
