The manner in which they've missed out on playoffs, it wouldn't surprise me if they sacked him. It's possibly justifiable given how poor their form has been. That said, maybe Flitcroft needs an opportunity to build a team over there that is his. But, if I were a Mansfield supporter, I wouldn't...

You say that, but, in our last 2 home games we've made four (more like 5-6 to be fair) horrendous defensive mistakes, and none of them were by Haynes. Grimmer, Hyam, McDonald have all made bad mistakes resulting in goals. Stokes isn't half the player he once was, and the game he was reintroduced...

Interesting observation actually. I think Haynes has established himself as a clear first choice. In a sense, he’s a little bit underrated because his detractors are very quick to criticise him, sometimes fairly. I personally think we should let Stokes go at this point — doesn’t seem like the...

Agreed, I thought he was our best player. The kind of signing I expected him to be from game 1. I think Robins has given him more freedom. My general thoughts on the game was that Stevenage were quite a poor side, gave the ball away in silly areas too often. I agree without Robins that it was...

    Lincoln, Mansfield or Us?

I’m not particularly worried about Mansfield. Their form since Evans left has nosedived massively. Considering they we’re in a good position for 3rd, they’ve fucked it.

    Playoffs

Wycombe would be the obvious choice if they weren’t to make 3rd as we done the double on them. I’m not as scared of Exeter as everyone else, we beat them at home and we lost 1-0 to early mistake. Notts County have a good home record against us, so that’s a game I’d probably like to avoid...

For me, it’s because his best impact is coming off the bench. I don’t think he’s a starter for me.

Look, we clearly have some weak points that need to be addressed over the summer. RM wouldn’t be a problem had JJ not got such a bad injury. Neither Shipley nor Reid are right footed and aren’t the kind of players that would suit cutting in off a wing. We need to invest in wingers this off-season.

We don’t have a right midfielder, what would you do? Bring on Vincenti? Hahaha

    3 match package

I bought it from the ticket office! Refunded my Lincoln tickets, and got two ‘Final Push tickets’, one for me and my little brother costing £24 after the refund. This is how cheap football should be! £18-20 for a concession, then a £10 for a non-JSB is on the day is not acceptable. I think the...

Autos are out of reach, our saving grace has been the poor form of our rivals. It’s games like this where it’s abundantly clear we miss the likes of Jodi Jones in our team. Unfortunately, we’ve just not been able to replace him — the kind of player that tipped the balance between us and the...

I think we need to play 4-3-3. We do not have a viable option at RM. On a quaint positive note, at least Ponticelli has broken his league ‘duck’. I’m happy for him.

The stats speak for themselves. His positives outweigh his negatives. The consensus is that he's a v good shot stopper but makes needless mistakes. All GKs do, even De Gea looked a fool when he first came to Man U. Even Westwood wasn't the complete package, and he's the best GK to play for us...

    Support for Burge

I can't even imagine the vitriol Burge would receive had he done that. That'd probably be justified too! It was just an absolute gift of a goal! Even the Wycombe GK's attempt to save McNulty's first goal (at home, 3-2) was pretty poor, it wasn't a particular powerful, nor well placed shot - the...

You’re being very blaisé about his achievements. He’s managed to convince most managers in L2 that he is the best GK in the division. He’s made mistakes, but so have other GKs, no one here, can realistically scope what he’s up against. The actual football people, who do have a realistic scope of...

Well no, you said not signing a senior GK (btw, that’s v vague) ‘one of Robins’ only recruitment errors’ — which implies you mean a first choice as what senior GK would be happy benching? Yes you I think you are asking too much. He’s a L2 GK, and can by every metric, a top 3 GK in the league...

Absolutely! On a similar note, if no one in our team had ‘lapses’, we’d be top of the league with 0 losses! Imagine if McNulty, JCH or Biamou never missed any of their chances?!

He is very much still the focus of the thread. When you make the claim that one of Robins’ ‘only’ recruitment errors was not signing a GK, when our current GK has been named in L2 TOTY — that doesn’t seem to quite add up. At worst, he’s not actually the best in the league, but he’s ‘up there’...
