    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

It’s very much the corbynite position on immigration. I think you’re right, it’s become a word for the more extreme fringes but on a binary scale the majority of left wing positions are of a more authoritarian than libertarian persuasion. Even if it’s only slightly beyond center. I think we...

Not all final balls are the final ball :P The one for MvE to cross for example recently (forget the game)

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Business rights are individual rights on a base level. Being left wing is generally a belief that people need coercing by the state into universally beneficial actions, I agree with that generally. Greed is a powerful tool, but needs curbing. That goes beyond big business. The traditional left...

    Fa cup tickets

Just needs two ST windows advertised ahead of time. First window one per ST, then all those with points, then back to STs for two a ticket. Or just allow STs two from the wider window onwards. As long as people can plan which window to go for it’s not an issue. It’s that or tier the ST...

Aims and Hopes for next season

Still can’t make plans based on other clubs transfer business. Can barely make them on your own considering players can get injured at any time.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Because private healthcare is only profitable if you can refuse the expensive cases and cherry pick the profitable ones.

He’s there to make things happen. When it works, we get goals. When it doesn’t people grumble about him being a “nearly man”. It’s the nature of playing the final ball. Last season we had Gus Vik and before that Cal who could bundle a ball up the pitch with strength or skill, but the final...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

On social support definitely. I think we’re more enterprising than the Europeans though. There’s a middle ground there that’s uniquely British somewhere. We just need to be comfortable with it and what it means. Sugar tax and banning smoking is probably fine, cookie banners and banning straight...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Like obesity it’s something where the NHS picks up the tab for other policy failures. Same as behaviour in schools. IMO it’s caused where you straddle public and private responsibility. We don’t want to take policy action to say change what people eat or how they exercise/move around, or limit...

So we should harmonise all social policy with the EU? Didn’t expect that take from you.

I’m classing hardware and infra in as IT here really. Data analysis comes at the top of a pyramid with infra at the base. There will be low hanging fruit but if what we want is a data driven efficient system it won’t come for free is the point.
