Pictures of Cov in the past and Coventry Pubs

Thanks for posting these houch. We used to park in the car park at Gulson rd hospital when we went up highfield road. As a side note my dads older sister was born there in 1933 but died same year. And dad had his leg set there during the war years when he broke it playing in bombed out houses...

V Swindon we were ok till they scored then seemed to capitulate. I do think we lack leadership on the pitch to get players going. We often seen yo let our heads drop. From what you say about last night we need more performances like that but with better end results. PUSB

Thanks for that covkid55. I wasn't at bury but I'm glad the team fought as I feel at home it has been missing. I was referring to the Swindon game where we really didn't show anything. No passion, no fight and no will to get back in the game once we went behind. If the team had shown more effort...

I wonder if Robinson would have given the same interview this morning. He was clearly angry and frustrated last night. I think his points about previous regimes was well made and I wonder what slade made of it...was it aimed largely at him? And the points about player responsibility. Personally...

I consciously left long suffering, whistle-blowing, tennis ball throwing, pitch invading, flare throwing fans out of it. Whilst perhaps not always helping the situation they can on no way be held responsible for us languishing adrift in a very average league. In fact those same long suffering...

Whilst we might not all agree on the percentage of responsibility for the shambles of this season perhaps we can all agree that the following take some proportion of the blame. Manager(s) Players Chairman Owners...and their sub companies. PUSB

    Pies

Returning pies to the Ricoh may only help us for one season...after that it's the burger van up the local park PUSB

Funny thing is you look at those players and seriously think they are mid table L1 not relegation fodder. With the exception tho of stokes and possibly beavon they are not fighters and that is where we have missed out this season. I think Willis and turnbull and harries (sorry forgot him too)...

Agree with all of this Turnbull, Willis, Bigi, Stevenson, jones, beavon and the two Thomas's. Not a lot more. And I think GThomas and jones need to be nurtured (i.e. Squad members rather than permanent fixtures) Edit Forgot stokes...haven't seen him this season PUSB

Trust Members Meeting WIth Tim Fisher

It doesn't even need to show me that it's pushing for promotion. I need confirmation that there will still be a club to support in 2 years time and that solid foundations are being laid. That happens and hopefully promotion will follow. But selling off the training ground, running down the...

Trust Members Meeting WIth Tim Fisher

If he is fully aware (and you are probably right) then his arrogant couldn't give a damn attitude is staggering. If he knows and understands the hurt then at least he could try and show some empathy. Ok his hands might be tied as to what he can really do but starting with a little honest...

Match Thread Bury v Coventry Match Thread - Tuesday 28th Feb

I agree his recruitment last January was desperate and this summer poor...I think the latter was due to him looking at players who could reasonably go to s championship club. But his football style, his tactics and his motivation of young payers was good. Even though we started this season...

Trust Members Meeting WIth Tim Fisher

I don't think he is as hard as nails...more he is too dense to see the damage he has done to the club and he has no awareness of the hurt the fans are going through. It's not the size of his bollo*ks that worry me but rather the size (or lack of it) of his brain. PUSB

Oh and on the non debate over slade, Mowbray or Venus the only one of them with a footballing and managerial brain is Mowbray. PUSB

My head had given up on our chances 6wks ago. My heart gave up after Swindon. What I never expected was the lack of effort, lack of spirit and lack of fight. We must be the easiest team to roll over in living memory. I honestly thought that even if we were relegated we would scrap till the...
