My fear is that this is now boiling down to a clash of personalities with CCC (Duggins et al) on one side and SISU on the other. Trouble is CCFC are the rope in this "Ricoh tug of war".

The Council have got questions to answer. They cannot answer or prove them because they have acted improperly. They know it - we know it - SISU know it. These may not be illegal acts but they are certainly not the acts of someone who wants to protect "our great football club"!

Regardless of what we do from here to the end of the season this has been a good season. We scraped in through the play-offs from L2 and we are contesting at the top of L1. That in itself is a brilliant achievement considering everything thats been going on at The Ricoh over the past years.

The other bit of bollocks in the Council statement is the bit about "CCC has been consistent in its desire to see the club secure a long term future in the city and they deny acting against their intrests at any time" What about the leaked email (its somewhere on another thread) from Coventry...

Its the "our great football club" line that makes me laugh. If it is our (The Councils) great football club then they should prove it. First stick to the unconditional promise they made regarding the clubs security at The Ricoh when they sold it - they now claim that it was only for 4 years yet...

When a public body sells or long term leases an asset it has a duty to get the best price. They dont get to pick based on who they like or dont like. They should have told SISU that Wasps were interested and they have made an offer of £££ and then ask SISU if they want to counterbid or risk...

So it was Wasps that approached the Council. Opportunist London interlopers! The Council should have a duty to offer this over to sealed bids with the intrested parties including SISU - thats the correct thing to do for a public elected body.

When you sell a house and you have more than one interested buyer it goes to sealed bids - not rocket science!

Because its the sensible thing to do to get the best price for the tax payer! Thats why.

You cant expect anything to come from this meeting straight away - lets hope that everyone meets up at Watford Gap Services and exchange a few brown envolopes to sort this fucking mess out!

One question I would love to know is - who approached who? Did the council approach Wasps first?
