Structurally we’re a mess in all departments at the moment. The midfield issue is well trodden but how many times do we lose first contact at an attacking set piece and the opposition are away? How many times do we let wide players just run into the box unchallenged?

Right, a big problem for me is that we let wingers have the ball wide and don’t close down. “Defending our box” they call it. Fucking engage with the player.

To me it seems he’s trying (and failing) to grab the scruff of the guys shirt and push away, that’s what he does second time anyway. I just think he’s got his range all wrong and definitely should have walked.

The depth of our play is why. So often we end up with 5-6 players stood in a line up top.

Really frustrates me when we play quite a direct game. Play it up the pitch and rarely do we read where it’ll land after the initial header.

Feel that when we lose the ball Grimes really has to get out of the habit of just dropping off. Couple of times now we’ve let them have a run through the middle of the pitch rather than engage.

I was thinking more the Kai Wagner one I’d highlighted, where he’s shot from the left and almost hit the corner flag on the same side. Might actually go searching for a video of it.

Just as a quick point, I can’t say I understand the psyche of hunting out videos of a guy getting repeatedly shot. I’ve tended to steer well clear of any videos like that for a while.
