That's Grendel all over. You talk about one thing and he has to go and denigrate something else. Never known anyone with such a deep hatred of the city. We all know Pool Meadow is crap, but I was talking about the fire station and posted a picture of the fire station. Why the need to bring Pool...

It was considered, but I believe it is still up for sale with all options open.

They made the stupid decision to separate the top and bottom floors and that's why upstairs is never quite a success. You could walk past and not know there was a restaurant there. What they need really is a place that is one entity and is a cafe downstairs a then a restaurant up. A single flow...

It's lovely old building that to my mind.

Really? I love that building. Think it's really nice and it already has great views from upstairs.

Yeah, I was agreeing with you. Instead of ripping it out cos it's a bit tatty, maintain it in the first place.

Can't say I am a fan, but he was a chirpy, smiley fella who seemed to embrace life. Also did a lot of charity work too I believe.

I liked the clock, but it wasn't maintained very well. Started to get a bit tatty and some of the plates were missing and some of the lights weren't working. By then it looked a mess.

Clock has gone for good. I went to the Burges planning open day. This was all to do with opening up the river Sherbourne and Burges' improvements and I suggested that the area outside the transport museum should be included and they should open up the river there too. Clock is not coming back I...

And thank God they're not. That would be a horribly cruel and selfish world to live in.

I read that right through thoroughly and cannot see it. Have you edited since?

I have a few friends who are teachers and they all tell me DON'T be a teacher. I hope that is because the profession is so undervalued and stressful and not because I would be crap at it.

We can't let any of that get in the way of a good rant though.

Nazon asking for Homeless Charities to Donate Stuff To for Christmas

Ha!! You are a very sad little man. :) My making that little quip does not mean for a single second that I don't think it is a worthy cause. It is. Oh, and I donated.

You should have seen the queue of traffic to get into Ikea on Saturday. It was horrendous.

No buses going down there. Not sure whether a taxi would have been able to, but would guess that they maybe would. No good though if you live in Allesley and need to get a taxi to Magna Park Lutterworth. Probably cost more in taxi fare than it would a day's wages.

Yeah, totally agree. Wipe out Pool Meadow and the Britannia and we could do something seriously good there.

With my daughter's friend's road that wouldn't have been possible. It's an incline, then a sharpish bend, then another incline and then another sharpish bend and just the width of one car space. A slide of anything more than about 10mm and you would hit a garden wall or parked car.
