Match Thread Coventry City - Maidstone United [FA] Match Thread - Monday 26th Feb

If twitter is anything to go by that isn't too dissimilar to most matches at the moment

Regardless Chelsea should have won that final easily and they were an embarrassment

Maybe as I am younger and was not around to see us not get into Europe off the back of Heysel but can think of plenty of clubs I dislike more than Liverpool I'd rather Liverpool win the treble than Man United or Chelsea even win a corner kick

Think this is about as good as we could have hoped for tbh Already looking forward to seeing him and EMC in our side next season

Match Thread Coventry City - Maidstone United [FA] Match Thread - Monday 26th Feb

In fairness to the scousers, my dad said when Ndlovu scored a hattrick at Anfield, The Kop actually applauded him off the pitch That being said I am not cheering Maidstone onto the pitch tomorrow - don't forget how bitter they looked that they had to come here when the draw was made

    Reality check

Friday was the worst team performance I have seen in my own personal opinion since Robins come back, easily Disastrous defending, was barely able to string a pass together, pretty toothless in attack - everything just looked massively disjointed

Preston player didn’t even have the bollocks to go over and check on him or offer anything by way of an apology Hope Kitch absolutely flattens him when we play them next season

    Death List 2024

Stan Bowles (Ex QPR) has sadly passed away I met him once what a gentleman he was! Way ahead of his time as well

    Sakamoto Injury

He's a little bellend who hides behind his butter wouldn't melt personality to get away with being a cock end on the pitch

    Sakamoto Injury

PNE are quite clearly as thick as Wednesday fans as they seem to think their man is whiter than white and completely blameless Some of the sides we have played recently have been a throwback to the 70s and if that is becoming the new (old) to win football matches then I can see my interest in...

VAR is as a concept, fantastic It's the clowns in charge of it that miss things - the problem is with the standard of officiating not VAR, if it was used well no one would have an issue with it Rugby and Cricket have managed to nail it, football has failed miserably

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Friday 23rd Feb

I was more mortified with our performance last night than I was impressed by PNE's They're a well drilled side who run about a lot but they caught us on the right night, they were playing at their peak and we were playing at our worst probably since we come back to the championship We'd have...

Home fans in South Stand v Preston - Trial Confirmed

Didn't like it, thought it looked rubbish We aren't at the level yet for it to be required other than the odd game just keep things how they are till the end of the season and reassess in the summer

    Sakamoto Injury

It is time for VAR at all levels - a fractured cheekbone and a shattered pelvis against one of our players all gone unpunished this season, the referees are either consistently missing these incidents or choosing to ignore them The only issue is I have no confidence in the EFL to implement it...

Then he would be correct or at least we have a very minute chance - Top 2 a non starter, we are realistically competing for one play off spot where we would have to do a job on Southampton or Ipswich over two legs and win the final A minute possibility

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Friday 23rd Feb

I agree but trying to pull off a drag back in your own six yard area against a team quite clearly wanting to press is utterly brain dead, the worst of a very bad bunch last night
  18. alexccfc99

Robins has to own that one

Other than the first 20 minutes against Millwall we weren't poor 'per se' We limited them to absolutely nothing in the second half

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Friday 23rd Feb

Apologies if already mentioned and I never like to single out one player but Dasilva put in one of the worst individual performances from a Coventry City player I have ever seen last night, I would struggle to award him anything higher than a 1.5/10
