    Summer transfer window 2024

Last year Saddle was offering to be the CCFC glory hole, now we’ve got pensioners offering out their hotwives. Tune in next year to find out which sketchy PornHub category SBT will turn to next when starved of transfer news. Hoping for Asian tentacle porn myself.

Land ownership very murky in this country. Just finding out the final beneficiary behind it all and making all the geospatial data open would be a good start. Then at least we know who to aim the pitchforks at. I’m not sure we’re so short of land that we need to start taking it back though. Land...

Of course and no one is saying knock down every estate and build flats. But near large city centres and transport links build the sort of housing that allows enough people to come together and make a proper city. You can still live in the suburbs if you’re happier with a longer commute or WFH or...

    Summer transfer window 2024

There’s a chunky sell on on both Wright and Simms I believe. Wright was confirmed at 20%, not sure about Simms. Would mean it would take an even bigger offer to be worth out while, though arguably Wright is the one player we have a ready made replacement in the door.

Why though? Because we’re just congenitally shit? I don’t believe that. Look at how other places have managed it and replicate if that is the case. But 3/4 of those pictures are in the UK. You limit building to say five or six storeys and you won’t get high rise blocks, you can legislate for...

I want more money spent locally on defined things yes. We are a massive outlier on how centralised our economy is and it’s a big reason London does so much better than the rest of the UK. You want better local politicians, stand or elect them. Otherwise it’s just bitching.

Would you really rather live here: Than here: Or here: Than here: Or here: than here: Extreme examples, but not all high density is awful to be around and not all low density is good. If we could legislate for taste the world would be a very different place. But I’m not sure we...

We will see. They should have a chance to do some bold stuff, one thing not mentioned that I’d love to see is local tax raising powers for infrastructure instead of having to beg the treasury. Not everyone is like you. Some are young, some want to be near work, etc. Good transport also allows...

Been reading a lot of Centre for Cities stuff recently and they talk about how our second cities just aren’t of the size/density of other countries and so massive underperform. Birmingham and Manchester are “cramped rather than dense”, so you don’t get the agglomeration affect you do in London...

    Callum O'Hare

Yeah but we were also lower status, so they weren’t lower league signings. Just can’t think of one, maybe McCallum, but he feels more of a youth pickup than your normal lower league signing. Jodi Jones? Did Robins sign him?
