Take The Offer Or Face The Legal Consequences. - Carter

Have a feeling that the no debt Ranson kept mentioning turned out to mean no debt to the bank but the money SISU had used to pay of Robinson etc still had to be paid back at some point. Even so we're still losing millions every year and until someone comes up with a solution to that we're just...

Take The Offer Or Face The Legal Consequences. - Carter

SISU are far from my first choice to own and operate the club but as noone is coming in to takeover what can we do? If there was a clear way for CCFC to run at break even then probably the best bet would be to force CCFC into admin and have ACL takeover the club. That would be the only way...

Take The Offer Or Face The Legal Consequences. - Carter

So whats the answer. Either SISU are taking money out of the company in some form, and I haven't seen any evidence to support that, or the loss is genuine. If the loss is genuine where can they make £6m in savings? I can't see much inroad by making changes to the business operation or cutting...

Take The Offer Or Face The Legal Consequences. - Carter

But they didn't make the original agreement is what I was getting at. Plenty of businesses need to renegotiate terms at some point and in the case of most other businesses if you couldn't afford your premises you would move, but this contract with ACL doesn’t' allow that as it seems to run for...

    Buying the Higgs Share

At a guess it can't be sold to a 3rd party until the option CCFC have expires but I'm sure that's not far off so in theory it could be sold to anyone, subject to the council approving the new partner.

SISU didn't agree the rent and it seems that when the rent was agreed there were people on the board of both CCFC and ACL, surely a conflict of interest? Now of course you can say SISU should have addressed this when they took over but Ray Ranson was running things then and SISU have said that...

    Buying the Higgs Share

It's not ACL selling. ACL is a company owned 50% by Higgs and 50% by the council. SISU could, and possibly did, agree terms but the council can block any sale. Higgs have stated they want to get out of ACL and use the money elsewhere. As there seems to be zero chance of the council allowing a...

Breaking news: Acl call off rent talks

This to me is where the whole of football has a problem. You could say run it as you would any other business in which case you would cut staff costs to an affordable (ie: not loss making) level. However, as we saw last season, doing that leaves us playing kids and struggling to stay in the...

Breaking news: Acl call off rent talks

it's to do with when contracts were signed I believe. As FFP is being phased in over several seasons some of our older contracts, and most likely higher earners, were excluded from the calculation this year. My understanding is that next season that won't be the case so even if we have the same...

    Leaving the ricoh

We wouldn't be doing the same as Wimbledon, that was a permanent move from London to MK and a rebranding as well, essentially a franchise team. We would be looking to build a new ground in the Coventry, or possibly Warwickshire, area which is a totally different thing. In the short term we may...

    Who is going to Bournmouth

if anyones going by train you're better off going to Pokesdown than Bournemouth station, you can walk it from there rather than getting a bus / taxi.

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

I believe ACL would have a big struggle on it's hands were CCFC to leave. Whatever you think about the club chances of them getting a new tenant that's as high profile is very remote and that will impact on naming rights, sponsorship etc. And of course whoever comes in will be agreeing rent from...

    Fisher is on!

just a thought, when ACL say how much of the arrears they expect to be paid off as part of the agreement do they count in the escow money? So say it's £1.5m in arrears is that before or after the £500K?

    Fisher is on!

which is exactly why somebody independent is required to come in with access to the figures on both sides.

    Fisher is on!

the change was only made because there were murmurs that Yorkshire Bank were going to step in, it wasn't a case of ACL just deciding they wanted a different loan provider. To all intents and purposes it was a bail out, if there weren't any concerns the change wouldn't have been made.

    Fisher is on!

To be honest I can't really argue too much with anything he's said. Mediation is clearly the way forward, can't see anything else that will resolve things and if ACL won't agree to it you have to wonder why.

    its the end for us

Spot on as usual OSB. Think this too often gets overlooked. SISU would never have been interested in running a football club, they were sold an investment opportunity by Ranson. My guess would be it went wrong when Ranson went over budget. Ranson kept on about getting 30K a week to break...

    If SISU did leave......

Think you're missing my point. What I'm saying is the council don't appear willing to accept a fair price - they want to make a substantial profit. It's easy for them to say they would be prepared to sell but if they won't accept a realistic price that to me is the same as refusing to sell. That...

We have to pay acl £24m for revenue rights

I think this is the problem, the council want a lot more out then they ever put in. The council appear to have put, prior to the bailout of ACL, around £10m of their own with the rest coming from Tesco, grants etc. Can't see them selling it to anyone else for that, even if the ACL loan was paid...
