    Player of the season vote

Very clearly, Jaime Allen is POTY.

If Biamou stuck away more of his chances, perhaps he’d be offered a new contract. Overall, he’s played a decent role this season. Some of his performances have surpassed expectations. We have two better strikers. As a club looking to consolidate our Championship status, it’s best the parties...

We have two good strikers with good strike rates this season. In all competitions, Walker scored a goal per 240 minutes and Godden scored every 255 minutes. That could roughly translate to a goal every three games. For comparison, Biamou scored every 350 minutes. Bearing in mind that both...

    Baka departs

Hiwula made most of his appearances off of the wing.

    Baka departs

The market might not be as depressed as last season as things start to open up and clubs can expect to have fans back in stadiums. Personally, I was surprised at how long it took for Hiwula to get a club. Something must be going on with him as he’s really fell since his first season with us.

    Baka departs

Bakayoko will do fine at a L1 or top L2 team. He probably needs a team where he’ll get plenty of game time to build his confidence. Unfortunately, despite a promising preseason, he hasn’t shown any evidence he can have a meaningful impact in the Championship. Highly likeable figure and...

    Taxi cancelled for Robins

Walker scored 8 goals in 33 appearances and about 12 of those appearances were made off the bench (below 45 minutes played). A goal every 240 minutes is a good return for a player playing his first season in the Championship on a team fighting relegation for most of the season. In Tyler Walker...

    Taxi cancelled for Robins

Full disclaimer: I was bricking it and very nervous going into that game after Rotherham had beating QPR. But, even had we lost it wouldn’t have been game over in my view. Robins has done really well this season to adapt to a host of injuries. He didn’t double down on ‘the box’ that makes us so...

    Taxi cancelled for Robins

I acknowledge this was too soon to have called it, but I felt like Rotherham were destined for relegation when we beat them 3-1 at home. Rotherham were always in a false position because their games in hand. Generally, the sense of paranoia on this board in relation to our own position...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The parties couldn’t agree to a ‘progressive alliance’ which would rally behind the party best poised to topple the Tory MP in a given constituency. It was astounding that the Lib Dems and Labour couldn’t agree to stand aside in marginals. You had a Lib Dem candidate in Kensington saying vote...

We were consistently 6-7 points above the relegation zone. If anything, you’re reading into a poor run of form against two very good teams away (B’mouth and QPR). Lets also put this into perspective. Biamou made the most appearances as a striker this season. Our 4th choice going into the...

    21/22 season expectations

No. We need to keep progressing. With a fully fit Godden and Walker to rely on, you’d think we’d have a lot more goal scoring capability which hampered us for a lot of this season. I don’t think it’s far fetched to think to say we’d be a few points better off those two being fully fit alone...

Things like this is why I just don’t think Labour will learn the lessons it needs to. Next election could be even more of a wipe out.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This is why Labour is in a pickle. A knee-jerk shift to the left won’t really do the party any favours. Corbyn ran on a radical manifesto. The obvious fact is that culturally, Labour needs to do something to win back its culturally conservative base. Be it Starmer or Corbyn, the party is seen as...

From the out of contract players, Hyam, McFadz and Kelly are non-starters. Jodi Jones will probably get a 1 year contract. Unfortunately, that’ll be last chance saloon for him with us. For Biamou, his stock remains relatively high if he leaves us now and could get a more long term contract in...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Why would it be? The bigger headline is obviously Labour losing council seats up and down the country and a by-election in a constituency that was considered a ‘safe seat’. Pockets of Labour performing well should not detract from a fundamentally bad election night. The party is in real...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Liverpool voted in favour of Remaining in the EU. Labour is haemorrhaging votes in areas that are working class and voted Leave i.e. the Red Wall seats. If the current trend of Brexit Party votes in 2019 being distributed 3/4 to 1 to the Tories, the situation is bleak for Labour.

Burroughs looked good after a somewhat jittery start with some poor clearances. But, today was the perfect game for them because Millwall were not good at all and the young players performed well.

    Great first season back

Home form was excellent this season. Our away form needs to be improved next season if we are to progress next season. Really positive about our future! Hoping for some positive transfers early in pre-season!
