He’s the natural successor to McFadz at this point. In fact, he generally wins more aerial duals than him too. Really surprised at how good our defence has been despite it being a concern going into Day 1.

Middlesborough have a tall and physical team too and Allen played v well against them. He breezed past them in the midfield. Allen looks good this season, in fact, I’d go as far to say he’s on the path to prove a lot of naysayers, including myself, wrong about him.

Middlesborough are also a v big side and they didn’t cause us much issues besides hitting the crossbar. Personally, I think we’ll draw this one too but we’ll be favourites. Cardiff’s away games have been: - Forest - Peterborough - Blackpool Two are those are in the bottom two and Blackpool...

To be frank, I’m surprised he even took the Middlesbrough job because they weren't really looking strong before he came in. I really rate Warnock, his resume speaks for itself and Middlesbrough would probably wouldn’t do as well without him.

I thought we looked like a very classy side today and our performances have been very good so far. Feeling confident against Cardiff and if we can improve our away form, I think we could be a top 9 team.

False equivalency, but Warnock has undoubtedly had a better career. Robins has been great for us and I’d rather have him than just about anyone as things stand.

    England v Andorra

And Bamford scored 17 goals last season. How anyone thinks that team would finish 16th in the Prem isn’t the sharpest tool. Even Coady and Mings are two solid Prem CBs. I was at the game yesterday, it was a nice atmosphere but it was a pretty dour game. With the greatest of respect, the likes...

We had it bad under Russell Slade..............

I like to stick up for Arteta, but it’s increasingly obvious he’s out of his depth. They need some solidity and Arteta needs to address this or he’ll lose his job. He’s been backed by the board and there’s no excuse for underperforming.

    Championship Attendances

I think they meant the impact of moving to St Andrews for 2 seasons broke the habit of a lot of people who regularly went to football games.

Would you have Tom Bayliss back?

He should’ve stayed with us because he’d be actually playing in the Championship now. I would take him back on a v cheap deal if Robins felt he had something to offer.

The same Michael Owen who had great finishing and movement?

    Squad Depth

Gyo has done what you described in every game we’ve played so far. He also has the strength to beat those defenders - look at the torrid time Keogh had against him. From where I’m sitting, Gyo, Walker and O’Hare all have decent pace. ‘We need a pacy option’ is just a lazy trope that is recycled...

    Squad Depth

We don’t need pace upfront - it’s an obsession. Gyokeres is big, quick and strong for his size and has caused problems in every game he’s played in so far. Even Walker has decent pace, movement and strength for his size. As for Godden, his movement and the finishing for that goal yesterday is...

    Jamie ‘Wonderman’ Allen

That’s where he played yesterday… I’ve always liked Allen’s energy, but last season he wasn’t getting goals or assists and if he can improve this, he’ll be worth keeping around - for sure!

Agreed, I think there are attributes to be developed there! His performances are not great though. I don’t think it’s a faith issue - last season MR would’ve started Pask rather than DaCosta. Probably a falling out.

DaCosta didn’t do much right in either of the last two games I’ve watch him. However, he is quite good at winning the ball high up, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he was instructed to be that high up. Dabo has the pace to cover him. I took my mate to the game today and he’s never seen him play...

    Renaissance at Coventry

It seemed like a renaissance in League 1, that’s how good we’ve been under Robins. We overcame a lot last season and survived comfortably. This season, we look a lot better and we look like a club on the up. I’m hoping that our attendances are further buoyed by our results and more people being...

Funny how they weren’t complaining about the time being past the minimum amount of stoppage time when they had the corner (and probably their best chance of the half). They defended the clearance very poorly and the referee couldn’t justifiably call time on the game there.

We’ve got off to a really good start! Controlled every game and frankly, we should be beating teams more convincingly.
