Fair point, I think they've played quarters and other games away from Northampton (at Stadium MK) as well. I believe they were in a situation where they wanted to expand their ground but couldn't get permission so started playing bigger games elsewhere. Now they have permission and their council...

Coventry are being moved against fans wishes. Northampton Saints play some of their games at other grounds (they have used the Ricoh and MK Dons in the past) as their ground isn't big enough. There was no objection to this from their fans and it won't be a problem for much longer as their own...

The difference would be that they were actively looking for somewhere to play cup games as their ground was too small. They've played before at the Ricoh and also I think at MK Dons with no objection from their fans.

they can do what they want but it would be very transparent what they are doing. the longer this goes on and if it does end up in court etc the more the spotlight will be on the FL and they must know they haven't done a good job with this, not the way they want to look when the government is...
