Always looked a tidy player but didn’t get consistent runs in the team with injuries and competition. Looked a bit ineffective last season while trying to work hard. Has stepped up a few gears this season though. How many interceptions did he make last night!?

It was the same with the Boro fans at the weekend. Most of our fans thought they looked reasonable. I don’t think these teams are performing that badly, I think they’re not coping with our intensity. We’re winning every lose and second ball and stopping teams from playing.

That win was down to hard work in my opinion. 11 players giving it their all, working for each other, and recycling the ball over and over until they create chances. The same mentality that led to two injury time winners in previous home games.
