There are numerous permutations ready to come into play here, but I think that if we could get to over 84 points, that could give us a chance of automatic promotion. I'd welcome others views on this. We still have a chance!
For me it's
Ernie Hunt donkey flick v Everton
Ernie Hunt chipping Tony Waiters from the centre circle v Burnley....the pained look on Waiters face as his finger tips touched the ball as he dived backwards was a picture!
Tommy Hutchison v Arsenal away, when he beat 6 or 7 players? That almost...
That's an interesting timeline, as it seems different to the norm for professional football. Hopefully, we can secure him on a longer deal. IMO he is going to have better long term prospects if he's playing first team football....and hopefully in Div 1 for us next season.
The mockups look very similar to the early 1970's badge, which was okay. However, I would prefer to keep the current badge.....I'm sure your owners would prefer a simplified version as it'll be cheaper to integrate into merchandise.
We've been through so many managers over the past few seasons, what makes anyone think that changing again is going to make the difference. The issues at our club run much deeper than the Manager.
What did Albert Einstein say........
On a micro level - you are right and that's a coaching issue and needs to be addressed.
However, other managers do not have to deal with the increased variables that MR does. He inherited a weak business environment and some of his time has been spent on issues that others don't. CCFC is a...
I appreciate that we are all passionate for our club to start the climb up the leagues, but as I previously stated this club needs to have developed an effective "System". All successful sporting structure develop mature systems and this takes years. MR inherited a very weak infrastructure, he...
Every successful sporting organisation develop a system and infrastructure framework which allows the technical staff to perform effectively. At Our club most Managers have never been time for
their systems to mature, against a backdrop of instability at executive and board level.
We need to remember the state of the clubs infrastructure when he took over. The scouting and recruitment function was almost non-existent. The sports science support services and ancillary structures needed improving. In short there was no system in place.
In a relatively short period of time...
I'm sure a few on here would be very critical of Hoffman if he'd turned down involvement from a Billionaire, then the same individual buys another club. It's not until a full diligence process is undertaken that issues can be illuminated that disqualify someone from involvement. Can we get back...
I appreciate that Ponticelli has a natural eye for goal, but in our current system of play to use him in tandem with McNulty doesn't seem to work. Hence, whilst Max isn't scoring, he's definitely helping McNulty's record.
I might be wrong, but I thought MR was really worried about the state of the finances and facing the prospect of having to sell. However, If we can get him off the wage that might reduce the pressure. I'm not sure if it gives MR freed up funds to bring someone else in.....but this could...
There are serious risks with bringing a disaffected player into the squad, which is young and impressionable. Keep him isolated from the current squad. It's not worth the risk of him sabotaging the positive vibe in the squad.
The other thing to consider is the quality of the pitches that he's currently playing on, which suit him. He's not really the type of player to thrive on some of the mud heaps our lads are now playing on.
Regardless of who is stating they are interested in investing into CCFC. The real question has to be why?
If they look on it as an investment to make money, then it look a lousy one. It’s a club with no assets. However, if they want to donate money to improving the desperate environment that our...
