Not controlling for population is not serious. Half the planet lives in these two countries and you’re comparing them in absolute terms to a country of 70m. Come on.

Poor comms all round. Thomas could have come across and released MvE as well. Don’t blame MvE who had two on one all half really.

Also Africas birth rate is already dropping like everywhere else. The world average is down to 2.3 children per couple, only just above the replacement rate. Overpopulation really isn’t a concern.

I mean, they are, a lot, but that’s another conversation. You were saying when Africa gets rich it’ll be terrible for the environment and quoted India and China as proof. Despite them not being terrible for the environment really.

It’s not though. Providing a market, inventing technology, that’s how we get out of this. The European and Us market for solar is a big reason costs have come down to a point where some guy in a village in Pakistan can power himself without waiting for the grid to be built out.

Yeah you keep saying you don’t like donations. Which is why I asked you to start with what you do want. This is like getting out of my 9 year old what she wants for tea.

That’s not a plan. Or if it is it’s like planning to be rich by buying a mansion and a Bentley cos that’s what rich people have.

It is out of the party budget! Where do you think the party budget comes from? We are talking about a Labour Lord who is also a Labour Donor offering things to a Labour Leader during an election campaign.

Yeah sorry still not convincing me it’s not being done “because that’s what everyone’s doing” rather than for actual considered reasons. I’ve seen companies with a windfall do this sort of hiring all the time to “move them to the next level” and “because that’s what the best do”. But it’s cart...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You’re mixing expenses and donations here. Why does it seem strange for a donor to allow the party he donates to to use his flat for a meeting or to buy clothes for an election campaign for his leader. Is that worse than buying leaflet printing or any other campaign costs? If you don’t want...

That’s how politics is funded in this country though. The only alternative to donors is to have the taxpayers pay for each parties costs.
