SISU/Otium to sell to Byng & the Chinese ???

Well really, they dont even have to be merged, as long as the two entities are owned by the same people it doesnt really matter, you just make both club and stadium subsidiaries of whatever vehicle you have used to make the purchases.

In all liklihood yes. Unless SISU have some gigantic sponsorship deal they have been keeping quiet about..................... Have we had a sponsor on our shirts for the games played so far or have the shirts been blank?

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

Personally I feel the only realistic way forward for club and stadium is for both to be taken over by new owners, preferably by the same owners! It would stick in the throat if ACL was sold on the cheap to SISU but if it meant that SISU then sold both club and stadium on to someone else and we...

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

Again, i'd really like to believe that was the reason but i'm more than averagly certain that it was really money that drove the decision. if they are adamant they wont sell to SISU then there was little advantage in offering them a new rent deal unless they were desperate for the income. I do...

I think it means that they may lift our embargo even though the company itself is still in admin, but as that company no longer holds the golden share it doesnt really matter to the league. I assume that would still be dependent on SISU filing accounts though. I presume it also means we are now...

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

I'd like to believe that was the reason but I suspect in reality it was more of a last ditch attempt to retain the footballing incomes. The directors of ACL may all be city fans but their first duty is to the profitability of ACL.

    Favourite manager ever?

    Gordon Milne and Ian Holloway.

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

The flipside of that is if they were so certain that they can survive without the club then why did they make the last ditch £150k offer? Having previously stated that the best and final offer was £400k? Smacks of desperation. The thing is though, if they are telling porkies about the...

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

I suspect because it wasnt half the stadium for that, it was half of ACL which isnt the same thing.

SISU/Otium to sell to Byng & the Chinese ???

Didnt he say previously that he had a deal in principle agreed with the Higgs to buy their half?

He's based in Leamington I believe.

SISU/Otium to sell to Byng & the Chinese ???

I think its safe to assume that he can organise a bid but just didnt for whatever reason. Perhaps Tim had a quiet word in his lughole that if he dropped his bid SISU would do a deal with him once they regained control. Pure speculation but its feasible and would explain why he is seemingly...

    Byng at Orient with Waggott

As you say, needs a hefty pinch of salt but you wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing turns out to be even more shady than it already looks. Lots of twists and turns still to come and i doubt it will be pleasant. Part of the reason im coming round to the idea of Cov 1883 as a new club, run...

    Byng at Orient with Waggott

I think we can safely assume that he can send an email, evidently something changed that stopped him making the bid. What the change was though is anybodys guess.

    Byng at Orient with Waggott

SISU have said in the past that they want to attract additional investors in to the team, perhaps Byng having failed to buy ltd out of admin for his consortium is now talking to SISU about investing, its perfectly plausible. of course he could just be a big fat con man in it for some publicity...

I keep expecting him to announce he has signed for Northampton with the rest of the ex-sky blue contingent......... our landlords could well pass us travelling up the leagues as we slide down.........
