    Investment rumour.

Why would it be a bigger issue for us than it has been for Brighton for example? Everyone would love a stadium in the city centre but it isn't going to happen. We have to look to make the best of the options we have open to us.

    How badly must the club

The would seem an obvious thing for the SBT to get involved in. There must be fans working in these trades who would be up for helping out.

    Investment rumour.

From my extensive research (aka a quick look at Google Maps) I can't really see a potential site for a new stadium anywhere close to the city centre unless something really radical is done and a lot of existing buildings knocked down.

    Investment rumour.

Have they moved Baginton since I lived in Cov? The way some people are going on you'd think it was 100 miles away. There's not that much parking at the Ricoh and getting there on public transport can be a mission. I'm not convinced that the majority of the crowd are walking there either. Its...

    still be a struggle

The handful of elite teams in the PL tend to be fairly stable so a new manager at Man Utd is a big deal. Not sure you can apply the same logic to L1. There's plenty of managerial changes and plenty of teams who are making wholesale changes to their squad every season. There's no reason not to...

    Investment rumour.

If there's actually anything in this Baginton Airport is not a problem for me. Would add that to Warwick Uni, Ansty Business Park and Broadstreet as potential sites whose location I would consider near enough in Coventry to make no difference. Certainly a lot better option than ending up near...

    Investment rumour.

This sounds like someone just picking out a 'big' club to start a rumour. Why would a billionaire be interested in us, there must be better options.

    1st test - Lord's

Apparently Stokes came in ahead of Ali as they lost wickets so quickly Ali was still in the nets and couldn't get ready quick enough! What a shambles. Oh well, only the Aussies next.

    Kevin Pieterson

30-4 on the first morning of the first test against NZ. Not really going to help silence the calls for KP to be in the side.

Joining 'Greater Birmingham' would be good for the City, says Ann Lucas..

Personally I wouldn't trust Lucas with anything! What would be the populations covered by the various councils if we joined up with Warks? I doubt we'd be as dominant a partner as Brum, plus we have things such as the Cov and Warks Chamber, NHS Trust etc already in place so it seems a more...

Come On The Old Five - Blog

Not sure why the league would be bothered now. They will only take an interest if we try and move back to Sixfields. As far as I can make out the only thing the league could question at the moment is that we don't have a 10 year agreement at the Ricoh which is supposed to be the minimum but they...

Joining 'Greater Birmingham' would be good for the City, says Ann Lucas..

From what I've seen it's an extra layer so CCC would still exist but there would be a Coventry & Warwickshire Council in addition. That council would be responsible for things currently done by government, so they would get a chunk of money for things like transport and economic development...

Joining 'Greater Birmingham' would be good for the City, says Ann Lucas..

If we're joining up with anyone surely Warwickshire makes the most sense. When Lucas comes out and says if we don't join Birmingham we'll be ignored isn't she saying she's not very good at her job as she's the one who's supposed to get the best for the city?

    Other income streams

So what were we doing wrong when we were in the Championship and getting 20K because we had low revenues then? Can we not compare our accounts to other clubs and see where we were missing out so that the same mistakes aren't repeated? I'm not convinced about the events idea. With a lot of...

    Other income streams

Few that spring to mind off the top of my head: naming rights - sure we'll be hearing plenty about this when Wasps cash in shortly. With the sort of wage budget we have anything approaching the Ricoh deal of £1m a year would have a massive impact. f&b - the numbers don't stack up to me, there...

    George Thomas signs contract

Anytime a player left, especially the kids he used to look after, he would send them a tweet that while not explicitly having a go a Presley didn't need much reading between the lines to work out there had been a major falling out.

Aspirations ! I wonder what Tim Fisher's are

We could give it a catchy name like Operation Championship.

    Other income streams

Unfortunately italia on this occasion Fisher is being backed up in his assertion that to be successful above our current level with need stadium ownership or at least full revenue access. The 'experts' hauled out by the CT and CWR have said the same as have Wasps who have stated they had to move...

    Other income streams

I have no idea, do you? I would suggest that may be largely down to location. For example if a stadium was part of the University complex the type of facility that would generate the most income would be different to somewhere like Broadstreet. Also would need to consider proximity to the Ricoh...
