Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

You would take the 300K off the original debt / compensation amount given by the administrator then recalculate the 27p in the pound offer which would mean SISU owe around £510K. Not sure you can do that though. The 27p in the pound offer was never accepted so that figure of £590K doesn't...

Okay, who would you say is the worst at the moment?

The cricket team. To be honest I wasn't too disappointed with the football team, wasn't expecting them to get out the group and they didn't. The way the cricket team has collapsed in recent months is shocking. What odds that this pitch that is perfect for batting isn't so great when we have to...

Acl to comment on Ricoh arena position

Have you seen any solid evidence to show the money is in escrow? If it was the FL could issue a quick statement saying we are holding the money and will make a decision on what is owed. And if there is a dispute surely they need to speak to ACL and sort it out, should take about 5 minutes not...

Acl to comment on Ricoh arena position

I'm not sure many people who were owed that amount of money whilst at the same time had the company who owed it to them taking legal action would be waiting with arms open to do business again. Of course we would all love a statement from ACL that says come back, you can have the ground for free...

    sandra are u still there?

Wouldn't that put us right next to Bedworth United, sure they'd love that! Can see plenty of access issues if we still have any fans left by the time we move to a potential site there. Which bit is wasteland? Isn't it industrial units and then a park / woods behind it? I could be thinking of...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

Exactly right Robo, if you want to own something it makes sense to table a bid to buy it! I suspect CCC would want the loan paid off as, with their track record for paying things on time, I can't imagine they will be happy being reliant on SISU making payments.

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

Would that not be down to negotiation between a prospective tenant and the council? I'm not sure you can make the assumption that every tenant will be given revenue access and if they are wouldn't it be factored into the rent charged? Look at the Ricoh currently, do companies putting on...

    Can/should the FL intervene?

Its very very simple for the FL, just enforce their own rules regarding the location of member clubs. Tell our owners that Coventry City have to play in Coventry. That's not getting involved in any specific dispute as they are not saying it has to be the Ricoh.

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

On that logic we will need to wait for all the existing Ricoh contracts to expire!

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

There's two ways of looking at the issue of who gets matchday revenues and I'm not sure in either scenario it really holds much relevance. Scenario A) SISU are telling the truth and the new stadium project is progressing and is 'plan A'. That means we need a temporary home for 2 seasons. We...

So is it League 2 for us next season ?

At the moment the squad looks like one that's going to struggle but hopefully that's not the squad we're going to start the season with. The worry is that every year we get the line that players aren't performing to their full potential as they weren't here for pre-season, if that's the case why...

    Coventry City Conversations

I meant video the whole story if people wanted to see how much of a basket case club we look on it, i'm sure people can find better sources of 'entertainment' on the internet than a short clip of Joy if they're into odd things.

Eh? When did watching the news become creepy? I've got Midlands Today on series link so I can zoom though and see if we're on it.

Think I've still got it on my sky box. Could video it on my phone and stick it online unless anyone knows a better way to copy it off there.

    Fisher leaves by mutual consent

There is a potential scenario where Fisher is sacrificed. Sepalla (or her new frontman) can then come out and say it was Fisher that was causing all the problems, wasn't following orders etc and do a turnaround on going back to the Ricoh. Sure a lot of us would know it wasn't true but it would...

    More Fisher Talk In CT.

I did wonder that when I read the piece in the CET. I thought they had fired over a warning letter but never taken it any further. Anyway if ACL / Higgs / CCC are as powerful as Fisher is suggesting and they did indeed go after Northampton then surely they would have pulled out of the...

    Coventry City Conversations

I saw that, what an absolute embarrassment for our club. We had Sepalla on a sunny day hiding under an umbrella desperately trying to stop the cameraman getting a shot of her and then Fisher, who looks ill, waffling complete rubbish. If anyone hasn't seen it have a look on iplayer for Mondays...

    Good headline from Guardian paper

They went to court twice regarding unpaid rent and ACL won both time, from memory SISU didn't even attempt a defence. The issue then was if ACL chose to enforce the judgement it would have impacted on the club through either administration or liquidation as it was technically the club that owed...

    Apologies Michael

You're correct the FL can't force SISU to accept any deal offered by ACL but what they can do is enforce their own rules and state that they will only allow Coventry City to compete in the FL in the upcoming season if home games are played in Coventry.

    JR Verdict Thread

If they are allowed to they will appeal, it will drag on for months and there will be more spent on lawyers. Surely though there must come a point where they have to consider walking away. The question then is how they do it, would they liquidate us? I suspect they would if that gave them the...
