Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

They are in a lot of debt, i'd say that's a pretty strong reason to soften their stance and with the legals going on an intermediary like Hoffman might make sense. It's just a theory that fits the circumstances though. As others have said, the meeting was probably just two associates having a...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

No doubt there would be a fee involved or a slice of the pie somewhere along the line.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Occurred to me that Hoffman has in the past expressed a willingness to work with SISU, or at least not against them. Not beyond the realms of possibility that he might be negotiating with Wasps about extending our stay at the Ricoh on the clubs behalf.

Any classic motorbike fans wanting a project?

I am back in cov this weekend with the sad task of clearing my grandmas house. One of the big items is a rare Garelli KL100 motorbike that needs a new home. Its complete but has stood for 25 years or more so needs restoring. The bike is located in Whitley and we need it gone ASAP. Asking £100...

Match Thread Sheff Utd v Coventry Match Thread - Wednesday 5th Apr

Surely we are due some poetic justice? Fleck to volley the ball against his own face Chris Brass Stylee and the ball bounces in to the Sheff U net.......

What will make you buy a season ticket?

Too early to start guessing at the structure of the team. All of the current squad is up for grabs if anyone's daft enough to pay for them. I'd like Kwame, G Thomas and Beavon to stay. I reckon they could score plenty in league 2 but can see bids coming in for all of them.

What will make you buy a season ticket?

I could be persuaded to get one and make the effort to travel down every other weekend IF i saw signs of investment in the infrastructure (Scouting network etc), investment and security for the Academy and a firm and realstic plan for where we are going to play long term, be it the Ricoh, Butts...

Your most embarrassing moment at a football match?

Away to Rochdale in the FA Cup, 2002/03 Season. Dale were in League 2 at the time and we were still in the Champ. We had been on a 10 game unbeaten run prior to the match (can you imagine!) Went with my 2 Dale supporting best mates and against my better judgement i agreed to stand in the Sandy...

    Mail today

I know i have said recently that SISU are going nowhere but i am starting to wonder if this added pressure thats building might be enough to persuade them to reconsider. Let SISU keep Ryton in exchange for letting the club go for nothing. It would almost certainly mean rebuilding in non-league...

Away Days Next Season (A positive thread)

Not many North West teams in league 2 so away days are going to be thin on the ground for me. Chesterfield is easy enough (assuming they get relegated along with us) but thats about it.

    depressed

I'm not depressed about it, i'm just resigned and less and less interested. I haven't even attempted to get Wembley tickets because i just cannot be arsed. I'm going regularly now to watch my local non-league side who are a brilliant little club with a decent ground and on course for their their...

Is this the investment Robins is expecting?

If the likes of DKE, Harries, Willis, both Thomasesesessss, Stokes and Stevenson all agreed to stay with us next season then yes, £600k would probably be enough to fill out the rest of the squad to a standard that could challenge in league 2. In reality though they won't all stay and Robins will...

Is this the investment Robins is expecting?

If we win the cup though it might just give us a bit of a bounce. I think Robins has been brought in not to avoid relegation but just to get a few wins on the board so that we at least go down fighting. A cup win plus improved performances on the pitch might just keep the season ticket sales up.

    Exciting but 'mentally weak' players

Rochdale in particular are good at this..... well Keith Hill is at any rate.
