So frustrating, because only last Tuesday we were just 1 point off 3rd place and automatic promotion. That makes defeat to a team at the bottom of the division that much more galling.

And I haven't called for his sacking. And to nitpick ever so slightly, we are only two wins from automatic promotion if other teams above us lose at the same time. ;)

Yeah, get that, but in 13 games against the top teams Forest Green have won just twice. Both against us.

You obviously haven't been reading my posts. I have been consistent all season long and have always maintained we will be top three. Not at all on the band wagon. It's only on the back of the last two defeats where we have been expected to win after having very positive results previously that...

Exactly. We don't have that optimism around the club. We have been down amongst the dead men now for many, many years and within a spiral of decline.

I haven't advocated sacking Robins, but he needs to do better. Something away from home just isn't right.

I totally agree. Don't get the logic that if we don't go up this season we will have another good chance next. Not at all certain. I think it could be a number of seasons down here and that is going to result in more fans lost from the club. It's a dire scenario that could easily manifest...

We do keep losing though where we expect to win. Every time we win I am believing that we will follow that up with another positive result. Why shouldn't we expect to avoid defeat at Forest Green and Morecambe?

Plus we don't know what sort of deal Wasps will give us. That could greatly effect what sort of budget we have to play with. Plus if we don't go up do we believe we will still be able to hang on to McNulty and Jones and Bayliss etc?

Okay, let's say the logic there of the 8th in the league budget is correct, what do you think it will be next season? Crowds will surely dwindle further and therefore it would be even tougher still for us to compete.

Yes, but we then have the four clubs that will come down from League One in the mix. Of the 4 that went down last season both the City and Swindon are right in there challenging for promotion from League Two this year. Could well have at least two more challenging next season from the clubs...
