Might have been Stokes' decision to go. With Junior Brown coming in Stokes wasn't going to be first choice and at his age he probably values first team football more than being in a higher division

Say we sign this Sterling lad for RB, another CM and an additional striker that gives us greatly increased depth and allows fringe players like Haynes to move on or be loaned out. With Jones and Andreu being almost like new signings I can't see us signing another 4 or more players, unless key players from the existing squad leave.
