Victory for the City of Coventry yesterday

That's the point the council, and Higgs for that matter, need to be pushed on. They have insisted that ACL was a viable business without CCFC, the JR court case even seemed to support their statements, but now they are selling at a loss. Nobody sells a profit making business on the up with huge...

Coventry vs Notts County - Match Thread

A good performance and a big win today would be nice after the week we've had. Of course this is CCFC we're talking about so we'll probably lose, 2-1 to them. 8,568 turn up. Followed by a post match phone in that's so depressing it makes you want to kill yourself.

    Those of you with bricks

Think this is the best case scenario now, if it all goes wrong for Wasps we should be able to pick up the Ricoh for, at most, what they paid for it. Of course that makes the assumption that there's no one else interested and we all know how that worked out last time.

    Ricoh Mudbath

Can they not just rip the pitch up and lay new, ready grown, turf?

    CCFC statement

Since Wasps came in there has been a subtle change of language from SISU, there's been lots of mentions of potential build delays and needing to stay at the Ricoh longer. It's almost as if they have absolutely no plans for a new ground and have had their bluff called.

    CCC owe us

Disappointed would probably be more accurate than surprised but I've supported the club long enough to be used to crushing disappointment!

    CCC owe us

Don't think it needs CCC to identify sites but this should be the next step now. I can see no reason that the new ground can't be within the city and I if CCC stand in the way I find it hard to believe that any of our fans would support them in their actions. Lets get some sites identified and...

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

You would hope that there is a clause that if the loan isn't paid the lease reverts back to the council or something along those lines. Of course who knows if anyone had the foresight to actually think about that scenario.

    Butts Park Arena

Correct Ian1779 it is owned by the council and leased to the rugby club. Also I think they've started building around it so any significant expansion would be an issue.

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

It would depend on how they pull the plug. If they liquidate (can they do that without putting the club up for sale first?) then that would be it, I'm not sure after all this a large enough proportion of the fanbase have the energy left to get a phoenix club off the ground. If they just stop...

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

The big problem is there is little to no chance of getting an investment from the likes of Tesco that contributed to the Ricoh build. It would have to be funded through financing which would then mean a huge mortgage to pay. Is this going to be in anyway viable. SISU now need to start giving...

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

I hope you're right, I fear you're not. I can't see any reason, other than financial difficulties, for Wasps to sell a stake in the Ricoh to us. So that leaves either renting, which we keep getting told by SISU isn't viable, or a new ground which is going to add to our debt by tens of millions...

Coventry City FC's bid for half of Ricoh Arena firm rejected

The prospect of future ownership. Of course we could always buy it off Wasps but that seems unlikely unless they hit financial problems. While it was owned by CCC / Higgs it was always hoped / expected that as some point the club would take ownership, that now seems highly unlikely.

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

So they've purchased ACL for £5.54 million plus taking over the £14.4m loan. Wonder how much SISU have spent on lawyers, administrators and liquidators since they have been here? Can't see this as anything but bad new for us. I suppose at least it draws a line under things. So onwards with the...

CCFC Ltd administrator charges over £444k

Not entirely sure what that's got to do with Appleton's report or the liquidation of CCFC Ltd. I would suggest that the first thing that would be need to looked at there is, by not having minutes or notes, have the council breached any rules or regulations. If they have then I would assume...

CCFC Ltd administrator charges over £444k

If his report deliberately covered something up then he could be in trouble but what if he just didn't look very hard for any issues.

CCFC Ltd administrator charges over £444k

Does anyone really think an investigation by Appleton, who was appointed by SISU and couldn't even work out who owned what, is going to show Fisher, or anyone else from SISU, in a bad light?

Coventry City FC's bid for half of Ricoh Arena firm rejected

What shocking news! How long before the excuse for everything that goes wrong is 'we tried to buy the Ricoh but they wouldn't sell it to us'?

    Luke McCormick / Ched Evans

I don't think you can make these decisions on a case by case basis. Either the FA / FL put rules in place regarding former offenders and after what types of offences players can't return to the game or we have to accept that anyone who is back in society can play. Appreciate that footballers...
