Norwood played more matches for Sheffield Utd last season and a similar age, he was available and has gone to league 1.

    Time for 4-4-2

Our best players are in the final third of the pitch this season. Our weakest area is the middle third. We have to get the ball as quickly as possible with quality into Wright, Simms, Sakamoto or EMC, Bassette, BTA where they have the space to do things. And try and minimise the amount we mess...

Armstrong has a decent enough appearance record to give confidence he can stay fit once he recovers from injury. No chance King goes for this sort of signing anyway.

    Rudoni …?

Has a lot to prove, people got over excited by his pre season performances.

It's a difficult one, if your weak in an area do you overload that area with even more shit players in hope lots of shit makes something less shit. Or bypass it and focus the play in other areas where you are stronger and have better players.

Kind of makes sense weirdly, play 2 in midfield. Sheaf and then let Torp, Rudoni, Eccles battle it out for the second place. Don't need to play Allen unless emergency. Front three from Wright, Simms, Emc, BTA, Bassette and Sakamoto. MVE and Da Silva/Bidwell wing backs, Lati, Thomas and...

    the issues

But we have only recruited one in his position in Torp and so far he's been pretty poor, that's the whole point people are moaning about. Where are the other two central midfielders we've been desperate for.

Not my job, we have a team for that.

I just wish we had signed some better midfielders that could be effective without Sheaf.

I think Frank Moussa was the only one to have been considered successful

Wasn't the only reason and not even the main reason really you are right, although can't deny his replacement was overall less effective. Was more making a point about how other posters were trying to say our best run of form came without them in the team

    Early days but basics lacking

I wouldn't be that glad because Watford will beat us

    Robins

Sheaf and O"Hare were integral to our best run of form last season from probably the Birmingham match up until the Stoke match. Started going south with Robins having a funny turn with O'Hare

    the issues

Or to get a better midfielder han Torp, Allen and Eccles that doesn't need Sheaf alongside them to hold their hand. So we could actually cope in matches when/if Sheaf was unavailable

    Wright

Just hope he bangs in 20 goals and we can get a good fee for him next summer now

    Robins

Sorry didn't realise you were an itk, Robin's has implied several times his input on transfers is less than it used to be. I'm sure if it was up to only him he would have utilised the loan market more to cover certain areas of the pitch.
  17. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Robins

I'm not sure Robins has as much influence on the recruitment as he used to. If he does, then yea he will need to take the responsibility for that and us being short in key areas.

Based on the money spent, yes Based on the squad we've assembled with that money, no

Expectations have to be changed due to the lack of reinforcement in midfield. I would expect us to be around 8th-12th this season, anything less is an underperformance and anything above is an overperformance. Pretty disappointing still when you consider the money spent that we've failed to...
