    Is automatic promotion realistically achievable?

It would be so deflating, even though a degree of success having been achieved to get there. We make the playoffs we have to make it count.

Mansfield worry me the most. I think they are the best team of those chasing that 3rd auto spot above us.

Totally agree. That's the same three players I identified too. It gave Robins a real dilemma and I find criticism of his subs last night wide of the mark as all three were clearly struggling.

Very interesting to note too that in the first half Luton went very direct and very long and we withstood it. In the second half they changed tact and went down the flanks a lot more in an attempt to get round the back of us and put the ball in from dangerous positions on the wing and they...

    Going to seriously miss him.

    Is automatic promotion realistically achievable?

I certainly wouldn't say 'massively possible.' As I just said above, we need to overhaul 4 teams above us. We need to better all 4. That makes it much more unlikely.

    Is automatic promotion realistically achievable?

And it's all well and good looking at Notts County, but we have to overtake FOUR teams above us, it's not just Notts County, we have to better Exeter, Mansfield AND Notts County's results.

Agree on Grimmer. On that one goal he should have showed the player inside and not let him go down the left and get the cross in beyond him.

Well at least they gave them a bit of notice....

so both Crawley and Wycombe could play a bunch of kids and not worry about the outcome. Might also be considered a real scoop too, this bit of news.

The good thing is we played well tonight. Play like that every week and we will certainly win a lot more matches than not. Win the next two, Crewe and Grimsby and it could get interesting if teams above have a wobble.

    Is automatic promotion realistically achievable?

No, don't think so. Would say we would probably need to win 8 out of our last 10 games to achieve it. Too big an ask.

As I just said above, that mistake changed the game. The saves he made after he probably wouldn't have had to make if he hadn't made that initial mistake. It wasn't a howler like some of his others, but was still a mistake unfortunately. Keepers all make mistakes, but this one was at exactly...

I think Burge did okay overall, but that first first goal of theirs was so crucial and changed the match, so unfortunately he does indeed need at least two points knocking off for that. Thought McDonald was excellent tonight and though Shipley played well in the first half he faded badly in the...

It was tricky though. I understood all the subs tonight. Both Vincenti and Shipley were tired and looked like they were running through treacle and Bayliss was clearly carrying a knock. Robins had to be selective and judge which player needed to come off first.

Exactly. I predicted a defeat, so am happy with a draw. Our backs were always going to be to the wall after that Burge mistake. At 2-1 the game completely changed.

I'm happy tonight. Very good game, City played well, we extended our unbeaten run and moved back into the play-offs. What's not to like?

It does if Bayliss was carrying a knock and that's what Robins said was the reason.

Only positive? We played well against one of the very best teams in the league, we moved up into the top 7 and maintained our unbeaten run. Quite a few positives tonight.

    Willis badly damaged ankle

Did you hear Geoff Foster? He said 'So has Jordan Willis had a bit of setback?' Robins replied with disdain 'setback?' Just what is our Geoff smoking exactly?
