Di Trollio went to Portugal and performed well by all accounts but then hasn't been seen at all since the squad came back. I assumed he had gone out on loan but it's odd the club haven't said anything. Rus as far as I can tell signed a new contract before Portugal but then didn't go on the trip...

According to the FA website: "Players may train or play in 'behind closed doors' friendly matches without international clearance. However, in these circumstances, the club should have the permission of the player's former club and confirmation that the player is not under suspension"

You loan to fill the gaps. If there are no LCBs out there on a perm that fit our wishlist and budget then I see no reason why we wouldn't loan 2. I agree, in an ideal world you'd want your own player to develop but it doesn't always work out like that. I also disagree that we had no choice but...

Loans aren't free ya know. Having had a successful season with us McNally's stock has risen, Burnley are likely wanting a chunky up front loan free and a high percentage/ all of his wages covered. It may just simply have been that the numbers for Bink's made more financial sense.
