    Blade in peace

For what it is worth, I thought Fleck was good player for us who always played as though he cared and wanted to do the best for the team.

    Blade in peace

What has happened to us could happen to virtually any league club. Further down the line it could be Blades who are in trouble. I would hope that our fans would be more understanding to a club in crisis. The way that fans feel about their teams is irrational, but that love of a club is still...

    Taxi on the way

Mowbray in fact gave up the ghost before he was forced to go. He left with the parting comment that at some stage the owners would have to invest in the club if it was ever to move forward. Obviously he was wrong, had been backed to the hilt and was simply covering his own back. I though Mowbray...

    Taxi on the way

I can remember someone on here complaining a couple of weeks ago about the fact that in the summer two year contracts were given out and that we would be saddled for another year with useless players. Now credit is given for summer recruitment. In the space of two weeks Robins has gone from a...

    Taxi on the way

Robin’s was very clear in what he said with regards to fees. I am sure others there heard him say the same. There was also a video I think.

    Lee Burge

Harsh on Burge and on Oggy. I think he is improving all of the time, his kicking for example much improved. He seems much more self assured and confident. Surely some of this is down to coaching?

    Taxi on the way

He made that comment when he came to the Q and A session set up by the Trust. It was before relegation was confirmed but he acknowledged we were going down and commented on the budget he expected Robins to have for this year.

    Taxi on the way

Agree. But as I said, why would he lie to make his own and Sisu’s position seem worse than it is?

    Taxi on the way

Well I know truthfulness and Tim Fisher are odd bedfellows but why he would lie to make Sisu and himself look worse by underplaying their budget I don’t understand. You have put a very positive spin on the players we have signed. Grimmer, Hyam and Andreu may have come from championship clubs but...

    Taxi on the way

The only evidence that I have seen about the size of the budget was Fisher’s statement about us having the eighth best budget in the division. As I have mentioned before, I am sure that Fisher would want to give the most positive picture he could, no reason for him to say eighth biggest when in...

    Tom Bayliss

Stevenson played really well when he first broke into the team. Really harsh to write off a young player who has shown in several matches in a higher league and in a struggling team that he can play.

    Who could/should you have supported?

Must have been great to hear first hand about Carrie Bourton. Guaranteed goal a game man in the old third division. There must be hardly anyone left who saw him play.

    Great win + injuries

Thought Vincenti was playing well when he got injured against Wycombe.

Match Thread Coventry City - Chesterfield Match Thread 1st Jan 2018

Davis looked at one stage in the first half yesterday like he would have to come off. He ran the injury off for the game but there is still a possibility he will struggle to recover in a two day turnaround.

    Police yesterday

Obviously was a big away following for Carlisle as we were listening to BBC Radio Cumbria on the way home and the Carlisle version of Clive Eakin commented to Keith Curle that if they had regular away attendances of over 800 his transfer kitty would have a big boost! Incidentally Keith thought...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

I agree, there is nothing we can do about it now but I still think it is right to challenge the notion that it is okay for Wasps to be here. It is amazing how many people I have met in both Coventry and Birmingham who go to their games but don’t see that there is anything wrong with them being...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Surely the whole purpose of a professional sports team is to play, entertain and be a part of the community that fostered it? If, as you say, Wasps were floundering in Wycombe then they should surely have cut their cloth accordingly ( something that CCFC have had to do over the past few years)...

    How much would promotion cost?

Having seen division 4 at first hand for the first time this year it has surprised me how bad the standard is, even when compared to the league above. I think even Sisu may struggle to get us relegated from this division. I am sure they will give it a good go however.

    Second loanee imminent

Not sure why people think Nazon is on his way out. Certainly Robins seemed keen on him staying. I haven’t heard anything quoted from Nazon unless I have missed it. I hope he stays as he is different to all of the other forward players we have.

Our Away support v The Championship

The Sheff. Wed game was a night midweek match that was televised. I remember watching it at the old GEC club. As midweek and televised it was not surprising that the away support was down. I do wonder if Ifollow will start to hit away attendances. I thought it was only for fans overseas but...
