The guys a tool, years of telling us they should own the Ricoh as they will get AEG in to run it and now they aren't getting it AEG were never interested. He's like a sulky teenager! To be honest if AEG are interested in a facility in the Midlands they'll be bidding for the NEC, that sits...

Not blaming you at all! Odd that in years they have barely managed a conversation with CCC yet have been given every last detail of the deal agreed with Wasps. Or maybe he's just talking shit.

    This club what's the point

I'm concerned that if they can get more money from liquidation and selling off what's left (mainly Ryton) than they can by selling they won't think twice about liquidation.

That's doesn't ring true to me. Firstly why would CCC care, they have no involvement in the Ricoh now. Also Wasps have openly said they don't need us there, sure could be bluffing but no matter how cheap they picked up the Ricoh why would they buy it without CCFC on a long term tenancy if that i...

We're now 1 point and 1 place above the relegation zone. Edit: and Scuntthorpe are 2 points behind us with a game in hand.

That's it then, we're not going to score 1 let alone 2 the way we are playing.

Coventry vs Notts County - Match Thread

Game sounds dire on the radio. Is the lack of activity on twitter and on here just down to a boring game or are people rapidly losing interest?

How does the club move forward with SISU

Could Wasps flip it for a quick profit. The club is worthless without stadium ownership. Wasps could buy it if and when SISU walk away for next to nothing (buying a distressed business on the cheap, sound familiar?) then package it up with 50% of ACL and sell everything on for a nice profit...

    Bob Brolly on CWR

That's not going to be a fun job. You're trying to engage a club with the community after it was moved away while at the same time saying you're not staying in the city and will be moving away again in a few years!

Victory for the City of Coventry yesterday

Their best chance of a return for SISU is to have at least part of the stadium to sell with the club. If they got that and made a small investment in the team to enable promotion back to the championship I think you would have interested buyers as you'd have a club on the up with a stake in a PL...

Victory for the City of Coventry yesterday

Looks like their plan worked. The flaw in the plan was that SISU weren't the only potential buyers. The potential for that was flagged up often on this forum but didn't seem to be considered by SISU. Their plan has backfired spectacularly, now we'll have to see if they have a plan B. Of course...

Victory for the City of Coventry yesterday

That's the point the council, and Higgs for that matter, need to be pushed on. They have insisted that ACL was a viable business without CCFC, the JR court case even seemed to support their statements, but now they are selling at a loss. Nobody sells a profit making business on the up with huge...

Coventry vs Notts County - Match Thread

A good performance and a big win today would be nice after the week we've had. Of course this is CCFC we're talking about so we'll probably lose, 2-1 to them. 8,568 turn up. Followed by a post match phone in that's so depressing it makes you want to kill yourself.

    Those of you with bricks

Think this is the best case scenario now, if it all goes wrong for Wasps we should be able to pick up the Ricoh for, at most, what they paid for it. Of course that makes the assumption that there's no one else interested and we all know how that worked out last time.

Can they not just rip the pitch up and lay new, ready grown, turf?

    CCFC statement

Since Wasps came in there has been a subtle change of language from SISU, there's been lots of mentions of potential build delays and needing to stay at the Ricoh longer. It's almost as if they have absolutely no plans for a new ground and have had their bluff called.
