The only way they will get any of their money back now is to get the club to a position where it can be sold for a decent price. They will nowhere near get out what they have allegedly put in but there's no other plan that sees any return that I can think of. Hopefully tonight has showed SISU...

Gillingham Match Thread - The Ricoh Return

Couldn't ask for more really. A win on our return and a win in front of a big crowd. Haynes was immense, if the club have ambition we need to start holding on to players like him. Not convinced by Allsop. I don't see the benefit of playing him as a loanee. Not seen a lot of Burge but wouldn't...

    empty fookin seats !!!!

Having worked on a lot of live events it always amazes me the number of people who buy tickets for things and never show up so you have to take that into account as well. From watching on the TV doesn't seem to be a great deal of empty seats. The corporates (obviously apart from the balcony bit...

Gillingham Match Thread - The Ricoh Return

Before we moved to this new system was he playing as a full back or a winger? He doesn't look like a left back when he's bombing down the wing and sending in dangerous crosses!

    Parking

Car Park C is pay on the gate until it's full. I would say drive down Foleshill Road, there's always plenty of places down there. The shorter the walk to the ground you want the higher the price! I park down the far end next to the fire station and only pay £3.

Planning on going in the away end tonight? Read this....

That's never going to work, there's no mention of it on their site so not even their own supporters will have any of that with them.

Gillingham Match Thread - The Ricoh Return

A very winnable game and a good opportunity to get over the whole 'we never win in front of big crowds' thing. I'll go with 2-0 to us.

The Can't Go On Friday Thread

Think the only time you'd have an issue is if the police object. Maybe something like that dance music festival would be an issue. They might not want a pissed up football crowd mixing with a pissed up dance music crowd but in general you'd think it could handle both so long as they schedule...

    The Ricoh Stewards meeting

There's some jobs listed on the Ricoh site, http://www.ricoharena.com/careers/ Some are clearly for matchday but others could be for different events.

Car parking in the Ricoh area.

Be worth checking the signs if you've planning to use Tesco, a lot of shopping places have started using ANPR and you automatically get a fine through the post if you're in there more than 2 hours. Not that they can legally enforce it of course but it's down to how much hassle you want.

Quickest way away from the Ricoh?

I usually park at the Three Horse Shoes on Foleshill Road (next to the fire station). Only costs 3 quid. 15 - 20 min walk back but then you're straight out, never had to wait or got held up in traffic.

    Update on ticket situation

If it's pay on the gate for their fans the club must expect that there will be some of the not claimed season tickets available for our fans to pay on the gate. Can't imagine they'd allow pay on the gate if there's no tickets for home fans as its very obvious what will happen in that situation.

    Update on ticket situation

On CWR Waggot took the blame and said it was his decision and it basically came down to coming back for this game and having this sort of chaos or putting it off for a few weeks to get everything in place.

    Further ticket update

Anything that involves our stewards is likely to be a lot harder to organise than it should be! :)

    McQuoid in CB?

I like it, I find not living in Cov there's not anyone to chat to about the City so it's a nice way to hear a bit of banter. Agree about the volume thing though, can't be that hard to run the podcast through something to boost the volume before publishing it. I forget every time and then get...

The Can't Go On Friday Thread

I can't, working on Friday until at least fine so even if I got a totally clear run would miss a good chunk of the first half. These days I have to limit my games, driving up from Pompey is around £40 a go, by the time I've paid for tickets, parking etc its not a cheap day out. On the plus...

    Further ticket update

It's not segregation in the stands that's the problem is it? Doesn't' the Ricoh only have one shutter to segregate the concourse so if you sell more block to our fans you would have both sets of fans mixed together on the concourse. To be honest I can't see that being a problem but I can also...

Question to those who have purchased tickets online

Seem to remember they had problems getting enough swipe cards in for the start of the season in previous years so at a guess they think it will take too long to get thousands of them done for this year. Expect they will be back next season.

    London SkyBlues?

Do the London Supporters Club run coaches to games? Might be worth getting in contact with them. We should have a sticky or sub forum on here so anyone who's driving to a game from outside Cov can let people know if they're got any spare room.

    Any Spare Tickets Please

There's 4,000 reserved for season ticket holders until the end of Thursday so you should be able to get some on Friday.
