Leamington Supporters Club September Meeting Highlights

Just got back. Really enjoyable evening even though by the time we got there it was standing room only. Both Doyle and Chaplin came over really well. Both spoke clearly and honestly I thought. Evening was well organised with a really good atmosphere and with raffle prizes I would like to win...

    Planned trouble for Sunderland game?

Cheeky! I was at that game and haven’t needed the Zimmer yet!

Real belief in this squad ...

If you know you have a good manager shouldn’t you be prepared to put up with the inevitable downturn in form that happens now and then?

    I wish

Liked him because he was a skilful player who scored and made goals and was exciting to watch. Working hard as well would be a bonus.

    Trust event at Albany tonight

Not getting involved in the endless row that will ensue but the fact that Wasps are here and own the Ricoh is down to Sisu and all of their shenanigans that need no explaining.

Look back, as I mentioned, he was injured at the start of the season.

Why was he a back up plan? I think he was always first choice. ( He was injured both at the start of last season and the start of this one too).

    I wish

Apologies. You are right. Came from 2-0 down to win against them two seasons in a row.

Coincided with the loss of form that season. Coincidence or a measure of the effect he had on the team? I particular remember the game against Shrewsbury that season where we were 2-0 down at half time. JOB came on as a sub at the start of the half and completely changed the game as we won 3-2.

    Spring in your step

I would say are best performance of the season. We didn’t make anywhere near the chances we did against Scunthorpe or Rochdale but he opposition was that much better. I think that Barnsley will be one of the teams to watch in this league this season so to match them and to then better them in...

    I wish

I loved watching O’Brien. Exciting player who made things happen. Created chances and scored goals.

I thought they looked good. Much better than Scunthorpe or Rochdale who somehow managed to beat us. I thought we looked even better however! Barnsley the best team who have played at the Ricoh apart from us this season.

Think he’s more knowledgable than you or them.

    Ex Player Watch

I liked him. Good skilful player who could pick a pass, score a goal and played as though he cared.

Bakayoko is the new Leon Best...

No, he didn’t score enough but he made things happen for the team and provided opportunities for others.

Bakayoko is the new Leon Best...

I can’t remember seeing him for Walsall when they have played us but that is not unusual as I watch games through metaphorical Sky Blue glasses. For us I have seen him play 3 full games (counting Blackpool as a full game, it wasn’t quite), and a couple of bit part appearances. He was poor at...

I think Lucas was a really good player for us. Hardworking, skilful, held the ball up well and brought others into play.
