Northampton Town (FA Cup) Match Thread

Why rest Cole? He needs games to build his fitness up and in all likelihood will be gone in 3 games time. And why would a keeper who's played about 6 games need a rest?

In that scenario I would much rather rest Ricketts. We cannot afford for him to miss many league games now Reda is done for the season.

Northampton Town (FA Cup) Match Thread

On the one hand TM will want to rest some of his key players, on the other hand he hasn't got a big enough squad to really be able to do so. I suspect we will see an XI similar to that of the Yeovil game. We looked disjointed and uninterested and I fear a similar scenario on Saturday. 0-1...

    Title odds

Yes, we were generally 3/1 to 7/2 to beat Spurs on cup final day. I know because I was looking through some old newspaper clippings recently.

Did the same on Saturday. The drive home is a million times better after a win, isn't it? :-) Fingers crossed, PUSB.

    Barnsley (Home) Match Thread

Kieran Crowley @KieranCrowley1 Queues already at the @RicohArena ticket office and we've already sold as many as we usually would for a Saturday fixture. Maybe 14k. #PUSB 1:59 AM - 3 Nov 2015 Surprising but excellent news.

Long distance fans will almost exclusively buy online so no problem on that score.

    Barnsley (Home) Match Thread

I think with it being one of 3 home games in a week that the home support will be lower than on Saturday (which would be criminal given the performance) so I reckon 10,000 City plus whatever they bring. Oh, and 4-0 as long as we break down their massed ranks of defenders early on.

To those who are staying away

Everybody's personal stance is different; financially, geographically, health-wise etc. However, somebody whose attendance at a match is dictated by the success on the pitch is not a real supporter.

Lameiras probably got short shrift from the ref after the ridiculous dive he did right under his nose.

To those who are staying away

The scenes inside the stadium when the 3rd went in were special. It makes so much difference having the fans closer together. I fucking love this season.

No, he said he would be involved. Didn't say he would start, and I don'think he will.

    Pressley

According to the BBC we had 28 shots on goal today (which feels about right). That took around half a season under Pressley and should therefore answer the OPs question.
