Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

They don't put the whole stadium on sale, it's gets opened up block by block. Edit: Just selected 6 tickets together in block 19. If it's the same as our games thats one of the fastest selling blocks as it's pretty much on the halfway line so it wouldn't really indicate they are flying out.

There is no pending land deal...

I would imagine it was included. Wasn't that the root of the problem when they were overcharged rates? But how much is the rent at the current shop, I'd guess next to nothing if they could't get any other tenant. And the offices are now at Ryton aren't they so not really costing anything.

An outline idea for a change of CCFC ownership

Didn't SISU approach the council about that and got told that houses couldn't be built there?

Could the club shop be moving to the Ricoh?

If you go to see any sporting event in the US they have mobile merchandise stores all round the ground to make sure they aren't missing any potential customer. It's not a bad idea. The shop was always busy but how many people couldn't be bother to walk round to it or didn't go in as it was busy...

Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

If you strip out all the free tickets that are going around todays attendance would be a lot closer to the one you've given for the same fixture last year. What do you think the attendance we be at the same match next year when Wasps existing fan base in London / Wycombe aren't being transported...

An outline idea for a change of CCFC ownership

Afraid for me it all falls over on the first point. First things first if there is someone wanting to takeover the club why can't they do it themselves? Having fan ownership in the interim just seems to be an unnecessary complication. Secondly I can't see anyway for fan ownership to succeed...

There is no pending land deal...

We got a limited number of parking spaces as part of the lease, I'm not certain they were all for resale as there would be spaces required for players, execs, sponsors etc. As for catering we had to purchase that from ACL but were then free to charge whatever we liked, that's a lot less margin...

Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

At some point you'd hope our never ending downward spiral will end and we'll get promotion and start moving back up. At that point how many of the lapsed CCFC fans now going to Wasps games will suddenly realise they preferred us all along and switch back?

Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

I think I'm right in saying there's only a guarantee of 11 Wasps home games a year. If attendances do drop and in the future they don't qualify for Europe then things don't look quite so good I wouldn't have thought.

There is no pending land deal...

That's the most annoying part. CCC repeatedly stated ACL was fine with or without us playing there, was performing well, profitable, growing business etc. Unless they weren't being truthful there was no reason at all to sell, especially not at a knockdown price. Even if they didn't want to deal...

Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

That's fallen a lot faster than I thought it would. We know there's 3.5K free to schools for a start plus the BOGOF and all the other cheap / free tickets that have been floating around. Plus this season they are providing free transport from Wycombe for all their existing season ticket holders...

There is no pending land deal...

Indeed and the point I was originally making wasn't regarding the JR. My point was from day 1 CCC could have given 100% control of ACL to CCFC and loan them the money to purchase the lease on a longer term and lower interest rate than would be commercially available. Several posters have claimed...

So if SISU decide we need to move 100 miles away you'd be fine with that?

    This Swindon Protest...

Thinking about it there's only 2 options really. 1) someone has already made a bid and has been rejected by SISU. why not make that public, at least then we know someone is interested and can evaluate if they are a better option than SISU (shouldn't be too hard!) and if the offer they made was...

    This Swindon Protest...

If there's anyone serious about taking us over the best way to get the fans onside is make it public, show they are serious and have a plan that could see the club be successful. There's been too much of we know someone who will take us over through recent years.

There is no pending land deal...

The loan is now on a shorter term so would need a new loan agreement, hence the club asking the court to accept that the new loan be consider as a continuation of the existing loan for the purposes of the JR. Anyway new loan or not CCC now have a loan outstanding to ACL which is owned 100% by...

    Wasps Sub Forum

Always the danger with papering the crowd that they'll decide not to bother turning up. Would love to see attendances (for all things not just Wasps) reported as total, paid and revenue so you can really get the full picture.

    New Stadium Evidence?

We had the artists impression which may well have been a stadium rejected by Brentford with the colour of the seats changed. There was a reply from Nuneaton Council to a FOI request saying they had been approached but as they responded with a no this time its safe to assume nothing has moved...

There is no pending land deal...

There's a document on the CCC website, or at least there was, that shows the final costs of the Arena 2000 project and how it was funded. It clearly states in that the value of the freehold is minimal at that point as there is 50 years left on the lease but the value of the freehold will...
