Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

This. He came to the club conceding 2 goals a game! There is the obvious point that Haji Wright hasn’t played for him yet and his ‘star’ EMC was injured early on. We won’t be able to fairly assess his tenure until they’re back and we’ve made a signing or two.

    Close quarter control

Hard disagree on Bidwell too. The only fullback we have who looks better as a WB is JDS.

We would be much worse to watch without Wright or EMC under Robins too. Credit to Lampard, the team has adapted quite well whilst missing 2-3 key players. Yesterday’s win was perhaps our best of the season barring Boro away, even if it wasn’t a thrilling game.

    Mike Ashley rumours

How much is Mike Ashley’s net worth is tied up in Fraser’s? Your personal dislike for him is clouding your judgement imo.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Was it ever really on? I passed on your info to my flatmate (Burnley fan) and his reaction was that he couldn’t see them signing another CB. They have 5-6 CBs on the books It’d be stupid get rid of BTA too, relying on Bassette to get goals from the bench is not what I’d consider a wise move...

Ruud Van Nistelrooy applies for Coventry Job

If that’s the case, how have we dodged a bullet? Guilty of this myself, but a lot of people got carried away with RVN’s run as interim manager at Man U over a short timeframe. Take Lampard for example, his first season at Chelsea was seen as an overwhelming success and he had a good 12-18...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Agreed, all things considered, we were the better team in the match. Considering Bristol’s league position, you can’t underestimate what a result it was for us today. Happy for BTA too because it was a lovely finish and he had some decent flashes of quality. Theres plenty to come from the...

    Dean Austin position untenable

There’ll always be an element of a new manager coming in and wanting to bring in specific players/player profiles. Apparently we’ve enquired about a few Chelsea players (shock) - including Guiu who is a striker. If you’re Doug King and you’ve spent money on Wright, Simms, BTA and Bassette… why...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Even if we signed him till the end of the season, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. To say ‘we’re fucked’ because we’re looking at him is a massive over exaggeration. Back in 22/23 we signed Maguire to fill the squad up and he played a few games. Didn’t add much value (if any) but he served a...

    Hell Yes - Hell No

The infamous ‘Tesco bag’ kit of 2005-06! I had all these kits, home and away from 2000 onwards so there’s a nostalgia factor for me! The tips on their own I really like, personally.

I’ve got quite an obscure Cov Le Coq Sportif jacket that a few new people comment on every game I wear it. I’m hoping we release the yellow ribero Cov top and the black and green Pony top from the existing retro ranges. Then all we need to remakes of the Le Coq Sportif numbers. Just take all my...

Why would we sign Joe Gelhardt?! 😂

    Hell Yes - Hell No

Just to clarify, it is the period covering 1990-2004. The Robbie Keane kit, first season in the Championship, 2002/03and 03/04 were pretty solid kits. The Kit@ kits, minus the last season at Highfield Road kit, the quality in kits went massively downhill barring 3-4 seasons.

    Hell Yes - Hell No

Looking around on the semi-final day v Man U, there was a sense of pride of how good some of our clobber looks even after 30-40 years. The 90s was banger after banger and the in-house kits in the early 00s is my favourite era of kits.

    Liam Kitching

In the case of Blackburn, the red card was because he stopped a goal scoring opportunity and considering we drew 0-0, it was a good decision. Norwich was the killer red card where he lunged in on a yellow card and it was a clear goal scoring opportunity if IIRC.

The 90s was definitely the best era for football kits - some absolutely iconic kits of ours!

    The myth about Haji

Pretty sure that 3-3 v Watford we played 3-4-1-2. Transfermarkt will only show where the player started the match too because when looking at players who came on as a sub, the position is blank. Last season, unquestionably Haji looked better at LW. That, however, doesn’t been he is to forever...

    Lati off?

Personally, I don’t think so on the current viewing. It’s not out of the question though because we’re 8 points off that now. Looking at last season, we were 5/6th and finished below Boro who were probably around our position at the same point this year. Get a few good players in this month...

    Lati off?

Any transfer where you make a profit cannot be seen as anything other than a success. Barring a select few clubs, the MO of any clubs transfer policy is to buy low and sell higher. We’re in a good position in our squad to make profit on most of our players, despite the bedwetters.
