Said much the same(though far more concisely!)on GMK some years ago, along the lines of " If I wanted to cheer on good financial results I'd go to a fucking Tesco' shareholders meeting".
Might need to update that one!
Should imagine that the lease would become effectively freehold and clean of restrictions once existing contracts on the site come to an end.
125 years, and 250 years effectively offer that.
The initial length of lease offered by CCC to ACL was far too short for the amount paid for it.
There are articles where they say they would accept a long lease too.
Do you believe that Fisher won't bring us back to the arena then?
Despite us actually fucking being there?
I stopped reading when he went on about fucking renting a house.
Never see it as you pay a fortune to rent a house off somebody, you're only allowed in it 20 odd days a year, though you get stung with the Council Tax for the whole place each year. They then sublet it to other people the rest of...
Apparently Wasps,(according to some) paid an extra £1million to extend the lease to 250 years, around 20% of the ACL purchase price.
I'm still wondering when the Charities Commission are going to look into how Higgs managed to lose so much money on their original investement?
Was a scandal...
It's almost like Sisu never attempted to buy half of ACL with a 125 year lease for the same price as Wasps paid for all of it with a 250 year lease isn't it?
Kingsman- The Secret Service-9/10 - One of the ebst films seen for ages, really great fun.
Colin Firth - Pride and Death with Extreme Prejudice.
Very much recommend it for anybody when out on DVD, if not still on at the cinema.
Think we had to get dispensation to play our first three games away.
The second game against Southampton was my first at the Ricoh, corporate, but none of the ovens worked and had to have cold food from what I remember.
The biggest balls up was ,when looking through the average attendances ,was that not once(even with the new stadium "Wow" factor) has our average attendance been greater than the max capacity of Highfield Road.
All traced back to Richardson's hubris and greed.
