Thomas went into the right back position for their goal because MVE was about 30 yards up the pitch jogging back. Likewise Rudoni too slow going back to cover. We are just so slow and lacking urgency.

It was strange with the Sakamoto injury. No one put ice on it, or wrapped it, he was just left after the game to hobble about. Surely it needed some attention and resting.

To state the obvious Lampard has to radically change our midfield as a top priority. It's been like this for a long while now, it isn't going to change with this personnel. They fundamentally aren't good enough. They know they're not good enough and take the cowards way out again and again...

MVE is now the biggest defensive liability. So poor for so long. He needs offloading. A quality midfielder who can drive us forward is essential. And i've absolutely had enough of Sheaf ambling around the wrong side of attackers and pointing. So many bland average players.

Simms, Bidwell and Dovin are doing ok. The rest....

MVE is a liability, you don't want Thomas covering right back. Sheaf is continually the wrong side, weak on the challenge, rarely heads the ball. Lati just looks awkward and sluggish. Torp pretty awkward and sluggish as well. Eccles a woeful naive pass. Saka invisible.

Hope Simms is really up for this and shows some promise and threat. Needs someone to thread passes into channels for him. Maybe Torp can step up... A clean sheet would be a real positive as well.

Probably a loss today. No real cutting edge and still have a defensive mistake in us. Simms needs more game time. I guess FL would be happy with a draw. He didn't seem that bothered about dropping 2 points against Millwall tbh. So I imagine the same team and a defensive setup. More boredom...
