Wonder What The Legends Thought ?

It wasn't legends day this year, they renamed it to retro day.

What you need is a mass cancellation of Sky subscriptions coupled with a boycott of PL games then maybe the people who need to make the change will start to pay attention. Unfortunately I suspect the percentage of fans of PL teams who actually care what is happening lower down the pyramid is...

    Too many games...

He doesn't sign the players so you can't really blame him for one keeper you don't think is up to the job. In recent years I think the GK position has been the least of our problems. We've regularly had keepers who have saved us a lot of points and I haven't heard a departing keeper have...

Poor pre match warm up for some players....

They might be having to do that on the pitch now as when we got kicked out of the dressing room we have traditionally used we lost access to the warm up area as well.

    8,700....really ?

I think the bigger problem was no plan B. That was fine as the high risk part of the investment but there was no plan on what they would do if promotion wasn't achieved relatively quickly. That's not a scientific figure to be honest but you're looking at someone having to pay SISU whatever %...

Players that can't trap a bag of sand.....

Absolutely right Mart, when we returned the pitch was the responsibility of ACL, at the time owned by CCC and Higgs, and it wasn't in an acceptable condition. When Wasps took over a big fuss was made of how they were solving the problem of the poor pitch by having it relaid immediately. In my...

    8,700....really ?

I can certainly see what attracted them in the first place. They thought they could put a relatively small amount in, get promotion and cash out with a huge return. Now I suspect they are still here as they can't find a viable exit strategy. When SISU took over we were a Championship team...

    8,700....really ?

Possibly but it also raises the prospect that nobody will be interested in the club without a stadium.

    'Anti-SISU brigade'

For me it all started going downhill when we got rid of Sillett and in came Butcher, followed by Gould. And of course the boardroom coup that led to Richardson ousting Poynton. Of course we had some good years with some decent players but they were players we couldn't afford an it seems there...

    8,700....really ?

They were based in New York, hence the name, and specialised in ownership of sports 'franchises'. They were looking to get involved in Europe and saw us as a good prospect.

    8,700....really ?

There were two other parties who were very interested. The Manhattan group were one, if you recall they met with the council and promptly got on a plane and went back to the states saying it would be impossible to work with them. The other group, who's name escapes me at the moment, wanted to...

Players that can't trap a bag of sand.....

You seem to be forgetting that even though we weren't playing at the Ricoh at the start of the season they had plenty of other matches booked such as Football CV and Leicester U21s so ACL should have ensured the pitch was up to scratch.

    Pressure's on Mr Waggott

He's got to move others out to do that which either means getting their parent club to agree to having them back or getting someone else to take them. That's not going to be easy for a start. He's then got to find players at this stage of the season that are match fit and available, again not...

    Martin and Stokes

You would think they could either coach that out of him or stop him booting it and tell him to play a short easy ball.

    Defensive errors

Interesting comments from Mowbray about individual errors and how he is changing the system so we're never reliant on one player. To me that implies that he thinks the players aren't good enough to stop making the errors and he therefore needs to minimise the impact they have.

11 points off the play offs

Top half finish would be a good achievement considering the position we were in when Mowbray took over.

    Wll said Spider

We haven't had back to back wins since September. Therefore you've got to be a bit odd to not think back to back wins in the last two games isn't a little out of the ordinary before you even consider that we were going into the drop zone and pretty much everyone was saying we were going down...

New Coventry City FC stadium plan seems 'crazy', says football finance expert

It's the current deal we have at the Ricoh with ACL which has I believe one more season and then a two season option, if activated, to run. After that who knows. If Wasps and / or ACL loss making at that point they may well be tempted to increase the rent and / or reduce the already limited...
